VACATION – UNION BUSINESS LEAVE. An Employee elected to full-time UNION office, who takes an extended leave of absence under the provisions of Article R10, Section 3, shall be paid for whatever vacation s/he has earned by the effective date of leave before taking such leave. Alternatively, s/he may retain credit for all accumulated vacation, to be used after the leave of absence, in accordance with the procedures contained in Article R10, Section 3. However, should such UNION Officer not resume his/her employment with METRO, s/he will be paid at the rate in effect when the leave of absence began.
