Work Uniforms, Protective Clothing and Equipment. ‌ The District will furnish, at its expense, the following work uniforms, protective clothing and equipment. When the employee requests and it is determined by the District to be necessary, the District will replace uniforms, clothing and equipment that have become unserviceable or obsolete. Such replacement shall be made within a reasonable period of time. Unserviceable clothing and equipment will be turned into the District and will not be reissued. Employees assigned to one classification but working in another will not be issued duplicate equipment.

Work Uniforms, Protective Clothing and Equipment. The City will at its expense furnish casual, dress, and specialty team uniforms, footwear and NFPA specified protective clothing, equipment and safety supplies. Employees are expected to wear standardized uniforms befitting the occasion, work assignment, activity, and are required to use the safety clothing, equipment, and devices furnished. When the employee requests, as determined by the Fire Chief to be necessary, the City will replace uniforms, clothing, and equipment as they become unserviceable or obsolete and such replacement shall be made within 15 business days depending on product availability. Unserviceable equipment will not be reissued. Employees assigned to one classification but working in another will not be issued duplicate equipment. For integrity and uniformity throughout the department an annual replacement program for Bargaining Unit employees will be provided the following.

  • Protective Clothing and Equipment The Employer recognizes the safety concerns of all staff and shall provide all employees whose work requires them to wear protective equipment with the necessary equipment and protective clothing. This committee may make recommendations on such equipment (e.g., gloves, long sleeved gowns, masks, goggles). These shall be maintained and replaced, where necessary, at the Employer's expense. Where the committee recommends the wearing of such protective clothing and equipment, and the Employer implements such recommendation, employees are obligated to comply with such recommendation(s).

  • Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment The Government considers operators as fireline personnel who will use and wear specified articles of personal protective equipment.

  • CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT (a) Employees required by the Employer to wear uniforms will be supplied with an adequate number of uniforms appropriate to the occupation free of cost to Employees. Such items are to remain the property of the Employer and be laundered and maintained by such Employer free of cost to the Employee.

  • Protective Clothing & Equipment While not being part of any issue of protective clothing/equipment, the company shall be required to provide the following protective equipment (SAA approved) for use, when necessary, by employees during the performance of their required duties:

For employees required by the Appointing Officer to wear a uniform, beginning in fiscal year 2006-2007 and continuing for the duration of this Agreement, the City agrees to provide a uniform allowance each year in the amount of eight hundred fifty dollars ($850). The City will pay the uniform allowance in the payroll that includes September 1 of each year. Represented employees must be on duty status or approved leave on each September 1 to be eligible for the uniform allowance. Any eligible employee hired on or after March 1 will receive fifty percent (50%) of the uniform allowance that year.

  • UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT Section 1. The City shall provide and replace sufficient uniforms for uniformed employees where uniforms are required.

  • Personal Protective Equipment 64.1 While not being part of any issue of work clothing/equipment supplied (see clause 26), the Employer shall be required to provide personal protective equipment (SAA approved) for use, when necessary for the Employee to perform their required duties including:

  • WORK UNIFORMS Employees who are required to wear uniforms as a condition of employment shall be furnished such uniforms by the Appointing Authority. Proper maintenance of uniforms is an employee responsibility unless they are currently maintained by the Employer or unless required by statute or other regulatory agencies because of contamination (see Article 22). Uniforms shall not be used for off-duty activity by the employee.
