Workforce Preparation. The core competencies of Hartnell College include acquisition of basic skills, namely: English, Math and Computer skills. Therefore, each degree or certificate requires students to achieve set educational standards in each of these basic skills categories. Furthermore, a vibrant ESL (English as a Second Language) program offers English language learners a scaffold approach to acquiring the written and spoken language. Through the Xxxxxxx Valley Adult Education initiative (AB104), Hartnell is working to offer a Building Trades pre-apprenticeship and farmworker basic education program, both of which offer an ESL and basic skills component.

For Adult Education these activities are incorporated into all literacy instruction. Follow-Up Services (20 CFR §678.430(c)) Depending upon the individual partner’s programmatic rules and regulations, follow-up services may include counseling regarding the workplace for customers in adult or dislocated worker programs, who are placed in unsubsidized employment, for up to 12 months after the first day of employment. For youth programs, the follow-up services include critical services provided following a youth’s exit from the program to help ensure the youth is successful in employment and/or postsecondary education and training. These services may include regular contact with a youth’s business and education provider, including assistance in addressing work-related or education-related problems that arise. [WIOA 134(c)(2)(xxi)] Required Consolidated System Budget for “Applicable Career Services” Summary of Career Services Applicable to Each One-Stop Delivery System Partner (Phase I MOU) The agreed upon budget for other system costs must align with the Phase I MOU agreement that outlined shared customers and services. If it does not, then the Phase I MOU must be amended to justify the budgeted system costs and align with Phase II. Therefore, Local Boards and AJCC partners should start by reviewing their signed Phase I MOUs in order to determine what each partner previously agreed to. The other system costs budget must be a consolidated budget that includes a line item for applicable career services. Awarded vendor shall post warning signs against all hazards created by the operation and work in progress. Proper precautions shall be taken pursuant to state law and standard practices to protect workers, general public and existing structures from injury or damage.

  • Proposal Preparation The contractor shall assume all costs associated with preparation of proposals for task order awards under the proposal process as an indirect charge (B&P costs). The Government will not reimburse awardees for proposals as a direct charge.
