A Temporary Employee definition

A Temporary Employee means an employee in the Town service holding an appointment of transitory nature not to exceed 1,040 hours in a calendar year. A temporary employee shall not be entitled to any benefits provided by the Town.
A Temporary Employee means an employee employed for short- term projects of a fixed duration and to cover for an employee absent due to extended injury, sickness or approved leave. Holiday pay shall be in accordance with the Xxxxxxxx Xxx 0000 and its amendments and its amendments.
A Temporary Employee means an Employee: (a) employed for a fixed term, or (b) hired to work on a one-to-one basis with a specific client of the Employer. At the expiration of the Temporary Employee’s period of employment in a contracted position, the Temporary Employee shall be eligible to apply for alternative employment in a position relevant to their experience and abilities. Where no job vacancy exists, the Temporary Employee’s employment shall be deemed to be terminated and such termination shall not be the subject of a grievance or arbitration, nor shall the Temporary Employee have access to the Lay Off and Recall provisions of this Agreement, except for a Temporary Employee who has completed three (3) years of service with the Employer. A Temporary Employee who has completed three (3) years of service with the Employer shall be entitled to maintain a Relief position with the Employer and be eligible to apply for an alternate position relevant to their experience and abilities and based on record of performance. (ii) Temporary Employees shall not participate in the Employer’s Benefit Program as defined in Article 11.02(ii) of this Agreement, unless they are Temporary Employees employed for a fixed term at Pioneer's Section 23 (or as otherwise defined by the Waterloo Region District School Board) school, working full time hours. However, Temporary Employees working in a Full Time contract position shall be entitled Sick Leave (Article 22), following completion of twelve (12) months of continuous service in any Full Time contract or a combination of Full Time contract positions. (iii) Where, following the termination of a Temporary Employee's employment, they express a desire to perform relief work, the Employer will, where appropriate, and based on record of performance, offer to them relief work. In these circumstances, the Employer will pay at the relief wage rate. Examples of A Temporary Employee in a sentence
