Authorization for Deductions. METRO will direct employees requesting to commence, discontinue or change Union-related payroll deductions to the Union. METRO will rely on information provided by the Union regarding whether the authorization for the Union deductions was properly commenced, discontinued, or changed. After an employee has approached METRO representatives (either Human Resources and/or Payroll) two (2) or more times alleging that the employee’s requests to discontinue or change Union-related payroll deductions have gone unheeded, METRO will determine for itself whether the employee has affirmatively consented to the deductions. XXXXX will communicate with the Union if an employee contacts METRO about discontinuing the payment of union dues or fees.
Authorization for Deductions. A unit member who is a member of the Union, or who has applied for membership, may sign and deliver to the District, on forms provided by the District, an assignment authorizing payroll deductions of Union dues. Such authorization shall continue in effect from year to year unless revoked in writing between June 15 and July 15 of any year.

Goodlett Place, Room 488, City Hall, San Francisco, CA 94102; Attention: Dues Deduction. The City shall have thirty (30) days following receipt of the Certification to begin the authorized deductions.
