City Seniority definition

City Seniority means length of service with the City.
City Seniority means seniority based on the time served as a regular full-time employee in the classified service of any city department pursuant to the Rules of the Minneapolis Civil Service Commission. The employee’s City Seniority is determined by the date in which the employee is first hired from a list of eligibles from a certification list. Ties in City Seniority shall be broken by the employee’s ranking on the official eligible list maintained by the Minneapolis Human Resources Department and according to the rules of the Minneapolis Civil Service Commission.
City Seniority shall be lost when an employee is separated from employment other than for reasons of layoff due to lack of work, or has been laid off due to lack of work for a period of twelve (12) continuous months, or withdraws contributions to Municipal Pension during layoff.

Examples of City Seniority in a sentence

  • City Seniority shall apply for City-provided benefits as defined within this Agreement and those available to employees outside of this Agreement.

City Seniority. City seniority, as used in this Agreement, shall be defined as seniority as provided in the first paragraph of this Section.

Educational facility does not include items as books, fuel, supplies, or other items the costs of which are customarily deemed to result in a current operating charge and does not include any facility used or to be used for sectarian instruction or as a place of religious worship, nor a facility which is used or to be used primarily in connection with a part of the program of a school or department of divinity for a religious denomination.

  • Pro-Vice-Chancellor means the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University;

  • Skilled Nursing Facility means an institution or part thereof that is licensed as a Skilled Nursing Facility by the State of Florida, and is accredited as a Skilled Nursing Facility by The Joint Commission or recognized as a Skilled Nursing Facility by the Secretary of Health and Human Services of the United States under Medicare.

  • Medical Review Officer (MRO means a licensed physician, employed with or contracted with the City, responsible for receiving laboratory results generated by the City's drug testing program who has knowledge of substance abuse disorders, laboratory testing procedures, and chain of custody collection procedures; who verifies positive, confirmed test results, and who has the necessary and appropriate medical training to interpret and evaluate an individual's confirmed positive test result together with his or her medical history and any other relevant biomedical information.
