Redundancy Pay. A redundant employee other than a casual employee (as defined) will receive redundancy/severance payments, calculated as follows, in respect of all continuous service (as defined by this Agreement) with the company Less than one year 1.75 hours per completed week of service up to a maximum of 2.4 weeks 1 year or more but less than 2 years 2.4 weeks pay plus for all service in express of 1 year, 1.75 hours pay per completed week of service up to a maximum of 4.8 weeks pay 2 years or more but less than 3 years 4.8 weeks pay plus, for all service in excess of 2 years, 1.6 hours pay per completed week of service up to a maximum of 7 weeks pay. 3 years or more than but less than 4 years 7 weeks pay plus, for all service in excess of 3 years, 0.73 hours pay per completed week of service up to a maximum of 8 weeks pay 4 years or more 8 weeks pay
Redundancy Pay. (a) In addition to the period of notice prescribed for ordinary termination, an Employee whose employment is terminated by reason of redundancy, shall be entitled to the following amount of redundancy pay in respect of a continuous period of service, subject to the operation of clause 19.5(d): 1 year 4 weeks’ pay 2 years 6 weeks’ pay 3 years 7 weeks’ pay 4 years 8 weeks’ pay 5 years 10 weeks’ pay 6 years 11 weeks’ pay 7 years 13 weeks’ pay 8 years 14 weeks’ pay 9 years 16 weeks’ pay 10 years and over 12 weeks’ pay
(b) Provided that where an Employee who is terminated receives a benefit from a severance pay scheme, he or she shall only receive the difference between the redundancy pay specified above and the amount of the severance benefit he or she receives which is attributable to the Employer’s contributions. If the severance benefit is greater than the amount under clause 19.5(a) hereof then the Employee shall receive no payment under that subclause.
(c) Week’s pay means the gross weekly ordinary all purpose rate of pay, as defined, at the date of termination.
(d) Provided that an Employee shall be entitled to a pro rata payment at the base rate of pay for any period of continuous service which is less than a year.
Redundancy Pay. (a) Provided that an employee employed for less than 12 months will be entitled to a redundancy/severance payment of 1.75 hours per week of service if, and only if, redundancy is occasioned otherwise than by the employee.
(b) Week’s pay means the ordinary time rate of pay at the time of termination for the employee concerned.
(c) If an employee dies with a period of eligible service which would have entitled that employee to redundancy pay, such redundancy pay entitlement will be paid to the estate of the employee.
(d) Any period of service as a casual will not entitle an employee to accrue service in accordance with this clause for that period.
(e) Service as an apprentice will entitle an employee to accumulate credits towards the payment of a redundancy benefit in accordance with this clause if the employee completes an apprenticeship and remains in employment with that employer for a further 12 months.
(f) Contributions paid by the employer under this clause will be paid in accordance with the requirements of the Scheme’s trust deed.
(g) Upon termination the employee will, depending on the Scheme’s trust deed, be paid directly by the Scheme.
(h) For the purpose of meeting its obligations under this clause the employer will make the contributions set out in clause 20 above on a monthly basis in respect of each employee covered by this Agreement to the Scheme.
(i) Where an employee is entitled to a payment by the Scheme under clause 20 and an entitlement under the provisions of this clause would be greater than the employee will receive the difference between the amount due under clause 20 and the amount due under this clause, but not both.
Redundancy Pay. Where the Employer decides to terminate an Employee’s employment and the Employee cease to work for the Employer because the Employer has made the Employee’s position redundant then, as well as notice or payment in place of notice, the Employer will pay the Employee a redundancy payment according to the following table: At least 1 year but less than 2 years 4 weeks At least 2 years but les than 3 years 6 weeks At least 3 years but less than 4 years 7 weeks At least 4 years but less than 5 years 8 weeks At least 5 years but less than 6 years 10 weeks At least 6 years but less than 7 years 11 weeks At least 7 years but less than 8 years 13 weeks At least 8 years but less than 9 years 14 weeks At least 9 years but less than 10 years 16 weeks At least 10 years 12 weeks
Redundancy Pay. (a) In addition to the periods of notice of termination, an Employee (other than a casual) whose employment is terminated by reason of redundancy shall be entitled to the following amounts of redundancy pay:

a) An employee is entitled to redundancy pay if the employee’s employment is terminated:
(i) by the Company because the company has made a definite decision that it no longer wishes the job the Employee has been doing to be done by anyone and this is not due to the ordinary and customary turnover of labour, and this may lead to termination of employment; or
(ii) because of the insolvency or bankruptcy of the Company.
(iii) An employee is not entitled to redundancy pay where an alternate position is accepted by an Employee within the Company or an associated entity, nor when the Employee is dismissed for unsatisfactory performance.
b) Where an Employee is under 45 years of age: Less than 1 year Nil 1 year and less than 2 years 4 weeks 2 years and less than 3 years 7 weeks 3 years and less than 4 years 10 weeks 4 years and less than 5 years 12 weeks 5 years and less than 6 years 14 weeks 6 years and over 16 weeks
c) Where an Employee is over 45 years of age: Less than 1 year Nil 1 year and less than 2 years 5 weeks 2 years and less than 3 years 8.75 weeks 3 years and less than 4 years 12.5 weeks 4 years and less than 5 years 15 weeks 5 years and less than 6 years 17.5 weeks 6 years and over 20 weeks
d) Weeks’ pay means the ordinary time gross all-purpose rate of pay for the Employee concerned at the date of termination.
Redundancy Pay. 2.8.1 In the event that the contract of a teacher is terminated by a board of education pursuant to Section 210(1)(b) of The Education Act, 1995, the teacher shall be entitled to receive a lump sum payment of an amount determined:
(a) regarding the first five years by multiplying 10 X Rate of salary in effect Number of school days in the school year PLUS
(b) regarding years beyond the fifth year by multiplying 5 X Rate of salary in effect Number of school days in the school year for each consecutive year, or portion thereof, of the teacher’s most recent actual uninterrupted service with that board. For the purposes of this Clause, “uninterrupted service” shall mean continuity of the contract of employment, or uninterrupted service in terms of consecutive school days, or both.
2.8.2 With respect to Clause 2.8.1(a), the Government of Saskatchewan shall reimburse the board of education its redundancy costs which exceed five days’ pay for each of the first five years of service.

Redundancy Pay. 12.3.1 In addition to the period of notice prescribed for ordinary termination, an employee whose employment is terminated by reason of redundancy, shall be entitled to the following amount of redundancy pay in respect of a continuous period of service: At completion of one year 4 week’s pay At completion of two years 6 week’s pay At completion of three years 7 week’s pay At completion of four years 8 week’s pay
