JOB XXXXXXX. (a) There shall be a Xxxxxxx on each job at all times, who shall be a Union Member in good standing, and shall be appointed by the Business Representative, from amongst the Employees on the job. The Union shall notify the Employer, in writing, who their Xxxxxxx is. If the Employer disapproves of the said appointed Xxxxxxx, they shall immediately notify the Union, in writing, stating the reasons for their disapproval. If their reasons are acceptable to the Union, a new Xxxxxxx will be appointed immediately. If not acceptable, the Union and the Employer will meet to discuss the reasons for disapproval, and if necessary, grievance procedure will be followed. The Xxxxxxx shall keep a record of members hired, laid-off, and discharged, and shall take up all grievances on the job, and try to have same adjusted. In the event he/she cannot adjust them, he/she must promptly report that fact to the Business Representatives of the Union, so STEP 2 of the Grievance Procedure can be followed through. He/She shall see that the provisions of this Agreement are complied with and report the true conditions and facts. It is recognized as the Employer’s responsibility to make whatever provisions are necessary for the care of injured worker. It shall be the duty of the Xxxxxxx to see that the Employer fulfils its obligation. The Employer agrees that when Employees are laid-off, all things being equal, the Xxxxxxx will be one of the last employees laid-off. The Employer further agrees that the Xxxxxxx will not be transferred to another jobsite unless mutually agreed by the Employer Representative and the Union Representative. The Union agrees that the Xxxxxxx shall not be changed without prior notification to the Employer.
JOB XXXXXXX. Section 1. The IATSE or crew may appoint one xxxxxxx for each production. The identity of the designated xxxxxxx shall be made known to the Producer of the television commercial not later than the first day of production. It is understood that the xxxxxxx shall in no way be discriminated against for any cause whatsoever in the performance of their duties as xxxxxxx.
JOB XXXXXXX. The IATSE may appoint separate stewards for production and off production units. The identity of the designated xxxxxxx shall be made known to the production manager of each covered motion picture. It is understood that the xxxxxxx shall in no way be discriminated against for any cause whatsoever in the performance of their duties as a xxxxxxx.
JOB XXXXXXX. The Job Xxxxxxx will be an Employee who is a qualified Journeyman, who has completed a Xxxxxxx Training Course applicable to this trade. There shall be no non-working Xxxxxxx(s). The Union shall notify the Employer in writing of the name(s) of its Xxxxxxx(s). The Xxxxxxx(s) will be allowed reasonable time to perform his duties. The Xxxxxxx(s) shall be one (1) of the last two (2) Employees to be laid off, provided there is work available for which he is qualified, otherwise the Union will be notified in writing in a timely fashion in order to appoint a successor(s). The Xxxxxxx(s) shall not be discriminated against and shall receive his fair share of overtime work for which he is qualified.
JOB XXXXXXX. 13.01 No discrimination shall be shown against and Job Xxxxxxx for carrying out his duties. It is also agreed that the Union will advise the foreperson or the Employers representative of the appointment of a Job Xxxxxxx. It is further agreed that a Job Xxxxxxx will be appointed on all jobs of the Employer by a representative of the Union, will be a certified journeyperson, and he shall be one (1) of the last two (2) workers retained by the Employer, provided he is able to perform the remaining work. The foreperson shall advise the representative of the Union before discharging a Job Xxxxxxx. If a Job Xxxxxxx is appointed, he must be appointed from the on-the-job crew.
JOB XXXXXXX. One or more working stewards may be appointed by the Union from among its members working on the job that will represent the Union on the job. The Employer shall be informed of the names of the appointed stewards, in writing, and only such stewards will be accorded recognition by the Employer. The designated Union Representative shall be consulted by the Employer prior to a job xxxxxxx’x termination for cause as set forth in Article 21, Section 5. The job xxxxxxx shall normally discuss grievances arising under this Agreement with the job supervisor and conduct other Union business during non- working hours. These duties shall include, but not be limited to, taking a weekly report of all members employed, checking newly dispatched Employees, caring for the tools and effects of any injured member, caring for the injured in the absence of an authorized first aid person, notifying the Union representative of injuries, and transmitting to the Union Representative all complaints and grievances emanating from the job. The job xxxxxxx shall be the last working journeyman terminated provided they are qualified for the last work available on the job.
JOB XXXXXXX. Where there is no Teamster Job Xxxxxxx on a project in the employ of the Contractor, an Owner Operator/Dependent Contractor may be appointed as Job Xxxxxxx by the Business Representative and such Job Xxxxxxx shall be recognized and shall not be discriminated against. The Employer shall be notified in writing as to the name of the Xxxxxxx. In the event of a lay off or reduction in the work force, the Job Xxxxxxx shall be given preference of continued employment. Should the type of equipment or ability of the Owner Operator/Dependent Contractor be such that the preference of continued employment cannot be given and the Job Xxxxxxx must be laid off, then the Business Representative must be notified of the reasons for lay off within twenty-four (24) hours. The Union shall be notified in writing within forty-eight (48) hours if a Job Xxxxxxx is discharged for cause and such cause shall be stated in the reasons. Grievances concerning the discharge of Job Stewards may be submitted and are subject to the provisions of Clause XIV of the Agreement.
JOB XXXXXXX. In the event the Business Manager of the Local Union elects to appoint a xxxxxxx, the xxxxxxx shall be the last person laid off, providing he is capable of performing the work in question.
JOB XXXXXXX. 9.01 It is agreed that the Business Representative and the International Representative of the Union may make arrangements with both the Superintendent and owner in order to obtain access to any project to deal with any complaint or grievance which may arise, or to conduct normal Union business with Union members on the job, provided that such visits do not interfere with the work of the project. The Union may appoint a Job Xxxxxxx from the employees regularly working on the job. The appointment of such Job Xxxxxxx will be discussed with the Job Superintendent and consideration given to his recommendations with respect to the employees being considered. The Union will notify the employer in writing of the name of the Job Xxxxxxx appointed. It will be the duty of the Job Xxxxxxx to protect the interests of the Union and the employer and to assist in the processing of grievances.
JOB XXXXXXX. 5.01 The Union shall appoint all Job Stewards. Each call shall have a Job Xxxxxxx; provided, that if the call is for sixty (60) or more persons, the Union shall be entitled to appoint two referrals as Job Stewards.
