On-Call Duty definition

On-Call Duty means a period of time that is not a regular working period, overtime period, or stand-by period during which an employee is required to respond within a reasonable time to a request for: (a) recall to the work place, or (b) the performance of other work as required.
On-Call Duty means those hours of the day when an Employee is not on regular duty but has been directed by the Employer to be readily available to return to work promptly if required to do so.
On-Call Duty means the time period during which the Employee working a core flex schedule is not on active duty and during which the Employee is on-call and must be reasonably available to respond without undue delay to any request to return to duty.

Examples of On-Call Duty in a sentence

  • A permanent full-time or part-time employee assigned to On-Call Duty is paid one (1) hour of straight time pay for each four (4) hours designated as on-call duty.

  • On-Call Duty Hours refers to those times the Resident carries clinical responsibilities beyond the Regular Duty Hours.

  • ISD workers who are required in writing to carry pagers after their assigned work hours will be compensated in accordance with Section 10 (On-Call Duty).

  • Duty Hours shall consist of both Regular Duty Hours and On-Call Duty Hours.

More Definitions of On-Call Duty

On-Call Duty means that the employee can be immediately contacted by the Police Chief or a Regional Commander and is available at the employee’s home or elsewhere to be called back to active duty such that the employee can report for active duty at the detachment within one half hour.
On-Call Duty means:
On-Call Duty means that the employee can be immediately contacted by the Police Chief or a Director of Operations and is available at the employee‘s home or elsewhere to be called back to active duty such that the employee can report for active duty at the detachment within one half hour. An employee who is by the Police Chief or Director of Operations to On Call Duty shall be paid at the rate of one half of the employee’s regular rate of pay while on call. In the event that the employee is called to active duty, the employee shall be paid the employee’s regular rate of pay, or the overtime rate, as applicable. An employee on Standby Duty or On Call Duty shall not be entitled to premium pay, overtime pay or any other additional benefit while on such duty, such that the only benefits to be paid are as set out in this Article. The regular rate of pay in this Article shall not include any premium pay, overtime pay or any other additional pay.
On-Call Duty means such period as is required by the Company for a pilot to be available at a place of rest, other than an airport where his services may be required to meet contingent circumstances.
On-Call Duty means a period of time that is not a regular scheduled working period, overtime period, or call-back period, during which an employee is required to be reasonably available for recall, as per the on call schedule, to work and to keep his Employer advised as to his location at all times during the on-call period in order that he can be contacted by the Employer, unless excused otherwise by his/her immediate supervisor.
