Interpretation. If any individual provision of this Agreement is or becomes ineffective in part or in whole, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

Interpretation. 1.1 In the contract of hire unless the context otherwise indicates:- "confirmation of hire" means the written confirmation of hire sent by CCTA to the hirer containing inter alia the details of the hirer, the hired area, the hire period and the hire charge; "the contract of hire" means these general conditions of hire read together with the confirmation of hire and any other ancillary documentation attached thereto; "convention centre" means the Xxxxxx xx Xxxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxx xxxxxxx xx Xxxxxxxx, Xxxxxx Xxx, Xxxxxx; "event/s" means events for which the hired area will be utilised; "the hirer" means the party indicated on the confirmation of hire who is hiring the hired area from CCTA; "hired area" means the areas and facilities to be utilised by the hirer for the events identified in the confirmation of hire comprising inter alia, Auditorium, meeting rooms and foyers, press centre, and open space office area; "hire charge" means the amount indicated in the confirmation of hire that is payable by the hirer to CCTA as consideration for the hire of the hired area for the hire period but excluding the additional costs referred to in clause 4; "the hire period" means the period during which the hired area shall be hired as specified in the confirmation of hire;
