Accumulation Of Compensatory Time Off (CTO). A. Employees represented by the Association acknowledge that it is in the best interest of the City to avoid overtime, and agree to work with their supervisors and department heads to rearrange their work week whenever possible to avoid the occurrence of overtime. In the event that overtime must be incurred, employees represented by the association will have two options: 1) be paid at one and one-half (1.5) times the employee's regular rate of pay, or 2) accumulate compensatory time off at the rate of one and one-half (1.5) times for each overtime hour worked up to a maximum of one hundred sixty (160) hours to be taken off at a later time as requested by the employee, and approved by the Supervisor.
