Paid Holiday. (a) The Employer recognises the following as paid holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day British Columbia Day
(b) Any other day proclaimed as a holiday by the federal, provincial, or municipal governments for the locality in which an employee is working shall also be a paid holiday.
Paid Holiday. An employee who works on a paid holiday as defined in Article 16.01 shall receive either her regular days pay or another day off, and shall receive additional compensation at the rate of double time for all hours worked on that day.
Paid Holiday. 17.01 The following days will be observed as paid holidays for employees: New Year's Day Xxxxx Xxx Day Xxxxx Xxxx Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Remembrance Day Canada Day Christmas Day Boxing Day If, during the life of this Agreement, a holiday should be declared by government which is not listed above and which is to be generally observed in the Province of Manitoba, such holiday shall be observed and paid by the Company under the same terms and conditions as apply to the holidays which are listed above.
17.02 In order to qualify for payment for any of the holidays referred to in Article 17.01, the employee must have worked on his or her last full scheduled shift immediately preceding the holiday and his or her first full scheduled shift immediately following the holiday and work on such holiday if he or she is scheduled to work, unless the employee is absent due to bona fide illness, and provides to the Company a satisfactory medical certificate from a duly qualified medical practitioner which supports the employee’s absence due to illness, or is absent on a leave of absence approved by the Company.
17.03 When a paid holiday occurs on a Saturday or Sunday the holiday will be observed on the preceding Friday or following Monday as determined by the Company.
17.04 When December 26 falls on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, Boxing Day will be observed on December 26 or on December 24 as determined by the Company.
17.05 An employee who complies with the qualifications set forth in Article 17.02 shall be paid eight (8) hours' pay at his or her regular rate of pay for each of the holidays referred to in Article 17.01.
17.06 Employees will be notified at least four (4) weeks in advance of the day on which a paid holiday will be observed.
17.07 Where the Company at its discretion deems it necessary to operate on any of the holidays referred to in Article 17.01, it will schedule only those employees who have volunteered to work on the holiday.
Paid Holiday. All Para educators shall be entitled to the following paid holidays: New Year’s Eve Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday following Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day and the day after Christmas.
Paid Holiday. The Board recognizes the following holidays and agrees to compensate employees as per the qualifications listed in the Employment Standards Act, Part X – Public Holidays for the following days: New Year’s Day Family Day Good Friday Easter Monday Victoria Day Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Boxing Day
Paid Holiday. 14.01 (a) The following days will be observed as paid holidays for regular employees: New Year’s Day Labour Day Xxxxx Xxxx Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day August Civic Holiday In addition to the above, two (2) Floater Holidays shall be provided. Such days shall be arranged between the employee and the supervisor. The request for the holiday shall be provided in writing at least ten (10) days in advance of the requested date and shall not be used to bump employees from their approved vacation days. Employees who are hired after June 30th shall only be entitled to one floater day during their first year of employment. Work performed on the day before Christmas shall not extend beyond 6:00 p.m.
Paid Holiday. Job sharers will not be required to work, in total, more paid holidays than would one (1) full-time nurse, unless mutually agreed otherwise.
Paid Holiday. For religious purposes, in the event that a religious holiday not listed in Article 7.1 falls on an Employee's normal work day, the Employer shall grant the Employee time off. Such time off either as vacation, leave of absence without pay, or in exchange for work on an otherwise earned day off shall be mutually-agreed upon by the Employee and Employer.
Paid Holiday. 20.01 The following days will be observed as paid holidays for employees:

(b) Any other day proclaimed as a holiday by the federal, provincial, or municipal governments for the locality in which an employee is working shall also be a paid holiday.
(c) Employees shall be entitled to one paid holiday in addition to those listed in (a), above. An employee wishing to take this additional floating holiday shall make a written request at least 30 days in advance of the date on which the employee wishes to take the day. The scheduling of such floating holiday shall be by mutual agreement, subject to operational requirements.
