Alternative Evaluator. On request, teachers shall be assigned an alternative evaluator. Requests must be submitted in writing by October 1st.
Alternative Evaluator. Request for an alternative evaluator must be submitted in writing by October 5, along with the rationale for the request, to the building principal. Should the request be denied, the teacher may request a meeting with Human Resources and may be accompanied by an Association representative to discuss concerns and any possible solutions.
Alternative Evaluator. A teacher may submit, by October 1st, a written request to the Superintendent, to be assigned an alternative evaluator. If the request is denied, the Superintendent shall put the reason(s) for such denial in writing within ten (10) days of the request.

Alternative Evaluator. Any certificated employee who receives a negative evaluation shall, upon request, be entitled to at least one (1) additional observation, conference and written evaluation as prescribed above. At the employee’s request, the additional observation and subsequent evaluation shall be performed by a different administrator as assigned by the Human Resources Department in consultation with UTR.

Should an evaluator determine that a certificated employee on a focused evaluation should be moved to a comprehensive evaluation for that school year, the certificated employee must be informed of this decision in writing at any time on or before November 1. Should a certificated teacher request a transfer from a focused evaluation to a comprehensive evaluation, that request must also be made prior to November 1.
Alternative Evaluator. In the event an employee receives an evaluation the he/she considered to be negative, that employee may request and shall be granted a meeting with the evaluator’s supervisor and an Association member if the employee so chooses. At the meeting, the administrator shall determine if there is reasonable basis for the employee to be granted a new evaluation. In the event the administrator makes such a finding for the employee the employees shall be granted a new evaluation to be conducted by a district administrator other than the employee’s original evaluator.
