Extended School Year (ESY. 1. As this is a continuation of the school year for students who need continued instruction to avoid loss of skills, paraprofessionals will be paid their normal hourly rates for the number of days comprising the ESY (minimum of eighteen (18), holiday(s) included).
2. Eleven (11) month paraprofessionals are the default aides assigned to ESY. In the case of a last minute emergency requiring the replacement of a paraprofessional, seniority from the respective site shall determine who is assigned for the current ESY session.
3. In the case where fewer paraprofessionals are needed during ESY than the general school year, first “volunteering” out, or second, seniority will determine who is assigned the hours and (class) assignments.
Extended School Year (ESY. All special educators who work days or hours as part of ESY, beyond the established school year shall be paid as follows: Program Coordinator: $7,500 On-site Student Support (resource room support teacher): $4,150 Teacher and ESA: $2,500 Appropriately certified substitute and ESAs not working full ESY: Paid at per diem
Extended School Year (ESY. 15.2.1 In addition to ESY, other supplemental programs refer to any programs offered by the District after-school, in the evening, during year-round intersession, on Saturdays, during school recess breaks, or any other time during the regular work year.
15.2.2 The hourly rate of pay for ESY supplemental instructional programs, outside of their regularly assigned work day/calendar, shall be the unit member’s pro rata hourly rate of pay based on the unit member’s placement on the salary schedule outlined in Appendix A.
15.2.3 Bargaining unit members shall accumulate sick hours commensurate with the provision of the Leave’s article.
15.2.4 Regularly employed unit members of the District shall be given preference over outside applicants for ESY supplemental instructional programs placement.
Extended School Year (ESY. Provider will ensure, on an individual basis, that ESY services are available if a student's IEP committee determines the eligibility and the need for these services are met in accordance with the SBBC ESY criteria.
Extended School Year (ESY a. As this is a continuation of the school year for students who need continued instruction to avoid loss of skills, teachers will be paid their normal daily rates for the number of days comprising the ESY (minimum of 18 days).
b. Teachers teaching Extensive Support Needs students, Therapeutic Day School (TDS), and Emotionally Enhance (MHE) have priority for the ESY positions. If they choose not to teach, or if there are insufficient students for the number of teachers, teacher selection shall be made first by a teacher “volunteering” out, and second by seniority.
c. Unit members shall be provided with all of the basic teaching materials and working conditions they have during the regular school year (e.g. telephone, computer, staff restroom facilities, heat, security of the teaching areas for storage of materials)
d. The district will move items packed by the unit member as necessary for ESY if the location of ESY is different than the unit member’s school assignment between the last day of the regular session and the first day of the ESY session, inclusive. The district will return the materials to the original classroom, no later than the third day after the end of the ESY session.
e. Therapeutic Day School and Adult Transition Program teachers will be paid for 199 days per contract year based on an eleven (11) month work year.

4. Therapeutic Day School and Adult Transition Program aides are required to work offered ESY assignments.
Extended School Year (ESY. 16.1 Extended School Year positions will be assigned to the most senior unit member holding the appropriate credential and/or license.
Extended School Year (ESY. 26.9.1. ESY class lists shall be developed by the last day of school. Lists shall be provided to the ESY teachers prior to the close of school. These lists shall be tentative based on the information known at that time.
