ANNUAL LEAVE (Full Time and Part Time Employees. (a) Full time and part time employees will be given twenty six days annual leave for each year of service (to be taken in one or more periods by agreement of the parties) and will be paid in advance (if required by the employee) for the leave period. Part time employees will be paid on a pro rata basis during leave. One leave day shall be taken on a day specified by MOPT which shall fall in the period surrounding Christmas and New Year. For the purpose of this clause a day is defined as 7.6 hours in any 24 hour period, in lieu of rostered hours and one week of annual leave is defined as 5 days in any 7 day period. (b) The leave is to be taken within six (6) months of falling due unless the parties agree otherwise. Untaken leave may accumulate to a maximum of eight (8) weeks. Unless agreed when leave will be taken, when there is an accumulation beyond eight (8) weeks the employee will be directed to take leave in accordance with the Workplace Relations Act 1996. (c) To assist employees in balancing their work and family responsibilities, an employee may elect, with the consent of the Trust, to take annual leave in single days not exceeding a total of 10 single days in any calendar year at a time or times agreed between the Trust and the employee.

(d) Where a public holiday listed in clause 6.2 occurs during a period of annual leave taken by the employee under this clause, the period of annual leave will be increased by one day for each public holiday occurring during the period of annual leave.

  • Full-Time Employees A full-time employee is one engaged as such and whose ordinary hours of work average 38-hours per week.

  • Regular Full-Time Employees A regular full-time employee is one who works full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular full-time employees accumulate seniority and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement.

  • Part-Time Employees Employees who are scheduled to work less than forty (40) hours per workweek.

  • Full-Time Employment Employees who are employed on a full-time basis will work 38 ordinary hours each week or an average of 38 ordinary hours each week over a cycle of shifts.

  • Regular Part-Time Employees A regular part-time employee is one who works less than full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular part-time employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement. Regular part-time employees shall receive the same perquisites, on a proportionate basis, as granted regular full-time employees.

  • Part-Time Employee Part-time employee" means an employee who is normally scheduled to work fewer than 80 hours in a biweekly payroll period.

  • Regular Full-Time Employee A regular, full-time employee is one who is scheduled to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week, on a regular basis.

  • Part-Time Employment Monthly compensation for part-time employment will be pro-rated based on the ratio of hours worked to hours required for full-time employment. In the alternative, part-time employees may be paid the appropriate hourly rate for all hours worked.

  • Permanent Part-Time Employees (1) Pay and benefits will be computed on a prorated monthly or pay period basis, such as one-half (½) monthly or pay period pay for a half-time employee, or pay will be computed on an hourly basis, and pay and benefits will be normally prorated on a pay period, pay status basis. Permanent part-time employees in permanent full-time positions will be treated as permanent part-time for purposes of this Article. (2) Employees paid on a fixed partial monthly basis shall have all extra hours worked over the regular part-time schedule paid at the hourly rate. Employees paid on a fixed partial monthly basis who work less than the regular part-time schedule shall have time deducted at the hourly rate.

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees ‌ (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee. (b) A part-time employee working less than the normal days per week of a full-time employee, and who is required to work other than their regularly scheduled workdays, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the days so worked up to and including the normal workdays in the workweek of a full-time employee. (c) Overtime rates shall apply to hours worked in excess of (a) and (b) above.
