Assaults on Employees. The employees who are assaulted while performing school-related duties shall promptly report the assault to the Employer. Employees shall be paid for all time lost as a result of such work-related assault from their regularly scheduled hours that are not compensated under the workers' compensation statute.

Assaults on Employees. All cases of assault suffered by support employees in connection with their employment shall be reported in writing by the employee to the principal or supervisor, who shall transmit the report to the Superintendent or his/her designee. The Superintendent or his/her designee shall acknowledge receipt of such report to the principal and employee.
Assaults on Employees. The District will consider recommending to the appropriate legal authorities that an individual who physically or verbally abuses or intimidates or interferes with an employee performing his/her duties will be prosecuted to the fullest extent provided by law. The School District recognizes the right, and will not discourage efforts to utilize that right, of any employee to file criminal or civil charges against any person who assaults, threatens or harasses the employee on school property, school transportation, or while the employee is performing his/her duties.

The Association will upon request receive a report on the investigation conducted by administration. The District shall provide support to the employee for such events, including assistance reporting such events to law enforcement, paid leave for participation in any legal proceedings initiated and prosecuted by law enforcement authorities, reimbursement for any out-of-pocket medical expenses not covered by insurance or workers compensation, and reimbursement for any damaged personal property used within a professional capacity not covered by other insurance.

The Employer agrees to promptly render reasonable assistance to the assaulted employee, but shall not be required to provide assistance that in the Employer's opinion constitutes significant financial obligation.
