Available for duty window. Where a Traveltrain employee is not allocated a working on the daily roster, the employee may be shown available for duty (‘AFD’) or allocated an available for duty window (‘AFD window’). AFD windows will only be allocated where there is a reasonable prospect that the employee will be required for work. Windows will not be allocated where there is no reasonable prospect that the employee will be required for work. AFD windows will be a maximum of 4 hours. When an employee is allocated an AFD window, their call period is the AFD window plus their call time adjacent to front of the AFD window. Their sign on period is the AFD window plus their call time adjacent to the end of the four hour window. For the purpose of this clause the call time will be no less than one hour. Employees will not be allocated work within an AFD window that impacts on their next rostered working, unless agreement is reached between the Company and the employee.
