Basic Theory Training. The Company agrees to provide basic theory training, as per current practice, to new applicants. Site Training The training on site shall also be considered as time worked and paid in accordance with the site training rate in this Collective Agreement. The Company agrees, when security guards are asked to work in psychiatric institutions or other similar institutions, to train the guards so that they can properly respond and protect themselves in all situations. Prior to an employee on any specific site, said employee will be oriented to the site and will receive any specific training that is deemed appropriate for that site. Site training will be provided by a person competent to provide training for the site.

  • Mandatory Training The Department reserves the right to require the Charter School to attend any training related to the responsibilities of a Charter School.

  • Voluntary Training Where training facilities are provided by the Company on a voluntary basis, an employee taking advantage of such training will not be compensated.

  • Annual Training The Governing Board shall receive initial training and annual training thereafter. A permanent-status or limited-status classified employee who has more than fifteen (15) days of authorized military duty scheduled in one (1) Federal Training Year shall not be entitled to leave with pay for those days in excess of fifteen (15), and shall be placed in an off payroll or leave of absence status, unless he or she elects to use accumulated annual, personal leave, or compensatory time leave credits for the period of absence.

  • Staff Training VENDOR shall ensure that all staff providing direct Services receive continuing education and training as needed or required and that such education and training is documented.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Union Training Conditional upon prior approval of the course content and upon receipt of certification of completion, if the employee is an elected official or xxxxxxx of the Union, the City shall reimburse the employee for up to one-half of his or her regular work time spent in such training at the employee's permanent rate of pay, not to exceed twenty (20) hours of paid leave in a calendar year.

  • General Training 417. The City will use its best efforts to provide Local 21 represented employees with up to forty (40) hours of paid time off for job-related training and/or professional development, which shall include one day of professional development of an employee’s choice, not to be unreasonably denied. Such time may include departmental-sponsored training and/or professional development; DHR sponsored training and/or professional development; and/or outside training and/or professional development approved by appointing officer or designee. The foregoing includes but is not limited to mandatory continuing education and/or training requirements.
