Building Description. A fire protection system will be installed. This system will include different approaches depending on the location within the building. The fire service main will enter the building in the water service room. The fire service main is to be a minimum of six inches in diameter. Separate zones will be provided for each major occupancy of the building. Areas subject to freezing will be provided with a nitrogen-charged dry-pipe sprinkler system. Sprinkler piping will be Schedule 40 black steel in conformance with NFPA 13. Sprinkler heads will be quick response type, except as required by NFPA 13 at special hazard occupancies. This building has several types of occupancy hazards.
