Calculation of Parental Leave. 1279 For the purposes of this Section 11.9, the following shall apply: 1280 11.9.3.1 The 12-work week period shall be reduced by any 1281 period of sick leave, including accumulated sick leave 1282 taken during a period of parental leave pursuant to 1283 Government Code 12945.2. The 12-work week 1284 period of parental leave differential pay runs 1285 concurrently with any entitlement to unpaid leave for 1286 this purpose under Government Code section 1287 12945.2, and the aggregate amount of parental leave 1288 taken pursuant to this Section 11.9.3 and Government 1289 Code Section 12945.2 shall not exceed 12-work 1290 weeks in a 12-month period.
Calculation of Parental Leave. Pursuant to California Education Code Section 44977.5, an eligible employee will only be provided one 12-workweek period for parental leave in which differential leave may be used. If the school year ends before this 12-workweek period is exhausted, the employee may take the balance of the twelve-weeks of differential pay in the subsequent school year if the employee chooses to continue their parental leave.

  • Variation of period of parental leave Unless agreed otherwise between the employer and employee, an employee may apply to their employer to change the period of parental leave on one occasion. Any such change to be notified at least four weeks prior to the commencement of the changed arrangements.

  • Parental Leave (a) An employee who becomes a parent, and who has been employed for at least thirteen (13) weeks immediately preceding the date of the birth of child or the date the child first came into care or custody of the employee, shall be entitled to parental leave.
