Categories of Faculty Grievances. 4.1.1 If any difference concerning the interpretation, application, operation, or alleged violation of this Agreement, or any question as to whether any difference is arbitrable, arises between the parties or the persons bound by this Collective Agreement, such difference will be deemed a grievance. The four (4) different types of grievances are defined as follows: Individual member grievance grievance relating to an individual employee Group grievance grievance relating to a group of employees similarly affected by the employer's action I Association grievance sometimes used interchangeably with policy grievance, but also referring specifically to a grievance directly affecting the association Policy grievance grievance by the association which may involve a matter of general policy or of general application of the collective agreement Dispute and Grievance Procedures Step Step Step To promote the earliest possible resolution of disputes arising out of this collective agreement, issues should be brought forward for discussion with the appropriate parties with the intent of informal dispute resolution.   • Processing Grievances The grievant shall be granted reasonable time off with pay from regularly scheduled duty hours to process a grievance, provided that the time off will be devoted to the prompt and efficient investigation and handling of grievances, subject to the following:
