Class Grievances. Class grievances involving one or more supervisors and grievances involving an administrator above the building level may be initially filed by the Association at Step Two.
Class Grievances. Grievances involving one (1) or more employees and grievances involving an administrator above building level may be initially filed by the Representative Organization at Level 2. 3-9-4 Release Time: Should the investigation or processing of any grievance require that an employee or a Representative Organization representative be released from his/her regular assignment, said employee or representative shall be released without loss of pay and/or benefits.
Class Grievances. With respect to issues affecting more than one (1) bargaining unit employee, the Union may elect to file a grievance at Step 2 without the need for the individual employee(s) to file the grievance at Step 1. The twenty (20) day time limit referenced in Section 28.02, as well as the other requirements of this Article, shall be applicable to such filing.

Class Grievances. A grievance may be brought by any member of the bargaining unit. Where a group of bargaining unit members desires to file a grievance involving a situation affecting each member in the same manner, one member selected by such group may process the grievance as a class action grievance, provided each employee desiring to be included in the class action grievance signs the grievance. If more than one employee is involved in a grievance or a group of similar grievances, one of them shall be selected as spokesman. Any class action grievance shall be filed at Step 2 of the grievance procedures within the time limits of Step 1.

Class Grievances. If a majority of members in one building are aggrieved, SEIU may act as the grievant in their stead and such grievance shall be filed at the principal level (step 1). If an alleged grievance involves aggrieved members in more than one building, SEIU may act as grievant and such grievance shall be filed at the Superintendent’s level (step 3). In either case, a single grievance claim may be initiated in the interest of a group of employees having a common complaint.
