Changes to Existing Classifications/Positions a) Where the Employer makes a substantive change to the nature of the job duties or where the Employer requires a reclassification, or where the employee considers his job duties to have changed substantively so as to warrant placing the employee in a new classification, the employee may request a review of his classification and adjustment to his rate of pay.

Changes to Existing Classifications/Positions. Where the Employer makes a substantive change to the nature of the job duties or where the Employer requires a reclassification, or where the employee considers his job duties to have changed substantively so as to warrant placing the employee in a new classification, the employee may request a review of his classification and adjustment to his rate of pay. The employee must submit the request in writing to his manager outlining the nature in the substantive change in duties. The Manager will consider the request and will render a decision to the employee within sixty (60) calendar days. The employee may file an appeal with the Employer no later than thirty

  • New Job Classifications 11.1 Whenever the Company determines it appropriate to create a new job classification in the bargaining unit, it shall proceed as follows.

  • JOB CLASSIFICATIONS For the purpose of this Agreement the following classifications will be applicable:

  • New Classifications If a new classification is created within the bargaining unit, the Employer agrees to meet with the Union and negotiate a rate of pay for this new classification. If the parties cannot reach agreement, at the request of either party, the matter shall be submitted to the arbitration procedure in Article 26 of this Agreement.

  • FURNITURE CLASSIFICATIONS Furniture classifications include but not limited to: Cafeteria, Dormitory, Library Shelving and Library Related, Lounge, Systems (Modular), School (Classroom), Freestanding, Seating, Filing Systems and Equipment, and Technology Support.

  • VACANCIES AND NEW POSITIONS 17.01 The Gallery shall post notice of permanent and temporary job vacancies subject to Article 4 – Temporary Full-Time Employees for a period of seven (7) calendar days before any such job is filled. Probationary employees shall not be entitled to apply for posted vacancies. It is agreed that the Gallery will not interview external applicants until applications from existing employees have been reviewed and bargaining unit employees who are qualified in the opinion of the Gallery have been interviewed. Further, the Gallery will notify existing applicants in writing once the successful application is selected.

  • Classification Changes When the University determines that a revision of a class specification for positions covered by this agreement is needed, and such revision affects the collective bargaining unit designation, the University shall notify AFSCME in writing of the proposed change. AFSCME shall notify the University, in writing, within fifteen (15) days of receipt of the proposed changes, of any comments it has concerning the proposed changes or of its desire to discuss the proposed changes.

  • CLASSIFICATION OF POSITIONS The University shall classify and/or reclassify all positions in the bargaining unit according to the nature and difficulty of duties assigned to and performed by the employee based on a current and accurate job description and shall assign to each position in the bargaining unit a classification title, number, and salary range. An employee new to his/her position will receive a copy of his/her job description upon hire. The appropriate administrator/supervisor will review the description with the employee. Materials used in determining classifications and reclassifications, such as class specifications and reclassification interpretation manuals, shall be readily available to the Union and employees on request.

  • WAGE RATES AND CLASSIFICATIONS Classifications and the hourly wage rates applicable thereto are contained in the Appendices attached to and forming part of this Agreement.
