Classifications, Salaries and Allowances. 21. - POSITION CLASSIFICATIONS An officer at this level requires no previous experience or specialized qualifications. The officer will be required to perform simple and often repetitive tasks. A Level 1 officer will not have supervisory responsibilities and his/her contacts would not often extend beyond the department or involve suppliers, parents or students. Level 1 officers will work under the direct supervision of a more senior officer. On-the-job training (to undertake a level 1 position) would not usually take more than one or two days. Level 2 An officer at this level may have relevant qualifications and will have acquired skills through training or experience. The officer will be required to perform tasks of some complexity and skill. A Level 2 officer may oversee one or two Level 1 officers. He/she would usually communicate with staff in other departments and have contact with suppliers, the public, parents and students. Level 2 officers will operate under general supervision and may work alone or in a team situation. Induction and on the job training may take one week. Level 3 An officer at this level is likely to have a recognised administrative, secretarial or technical qualification. The officer will have the knowledge and skills to undertake complex tasks. A Level 3 position may involve supervision of Level 1 and 2 officers. It would include regular contact with a wide group of staff in other departments, suppliers, the public, parents and students. A Level 3 officer would be competent to work without supervision, although under general guidance. Induction and handover would take one or two weeks.

ACADEMIC STAFF ROLES 80 Academic staff may be assigned to teaching and research, teaching focused or research only roles. Teaching focused roles 81 Teaching focused roles will be an option within a Faculty’s workload model to allow staff to concentrate on learning and teaching.

Education focused roles 96 Education focused roles will be an option within a Faculty’s workload model to allow staff to concentrate on teaching, learning, curriculum development, and scholarship in education. Notwithstanding clause 332, a staff member engaged in an education focused role may be given a maximum teaching allocation of up to 70%. After their engagement in an education focused role, and after discussions with the University, a staff member may elect for their teaching allocation to be increased to up to 80%. 97 Provision for education focused roles will have regard to the personal and/or professional circumstances and preferences of individual staff and will enable staff to be employed in education focused work. Staff employed in education focused roles will have access to promotion (taking into account teaching excellence, leadership and record of scholarship), performance planning and development as well as a career path in teaching. Education focused roles may be Full-time or Part-time.

  • SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES 20.01 The Employer shall pay salaries and wages by direct deposit bi-weekly in accordance with Schedule "A" attached hereto and forming part of this Agreement.

  • SALARIES AND WAGES Contractor and any subcontractors must pay all salaries and wages due all employees performing Services under this Contract unconditionally and at least once a month without deduction or rebate on any account, except only for those payroll deductions that are mandatory by law or are permitted under applicable law and regulations. If in the performance of this Contract Contractor underpays any such salaries or wages, the Comptroller for the City may withhold, out of payments due to Contractor, an amount sufficient to pay to employees underpaid the difference between the salaries or wages required to be paid under this Agreement and the salaries or wages actually paid these employees for the total number of hours worked. The amounts withheld may be disbursed by the Comptroller for and on account of Contractor to the respective employees to whom they are due. The parties acknowledge that this paragraph is solely for the benefit of the City and that it does not grant any third party beneficiary rights.

  • CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION The parties hereto agree that the employees covered by this Agreement shall be considered engaged in the type of work and classification as set forth on Schedule A attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

  • Salary and Allowances A Teacher on part-time assignment shall be paid according to the salary schedule and allowances in this Collective Agreement, pro-rated unless otherwise specified in this agreement.

  • SALARIES wages and other similar remuneration, other than a pension, paid by a Contracting State or a political subdivision or a local authority thereof to an individual in respect of services rendered to that State or subdivision or authority shall be taxable only in that State.
