Summary Evaluation. During every third (3rd) appointment, the President of the College or the President’s designee shall develop a summary evaluation of each part-time faculty member by February 1 following the fall semester and by June 30 following the spring semester and shall consider only the foregoing four (4) evaluation components which have been completed since the last summary evaluation or the first appointment, whichever is more recent. A copy of the summary evaluation shall be forwarded to the part-time faculty member and if requested, the President of the College or the President's designee shall meet and confer with the faculty member to discuss the reasons therefor. The faculty member shall have seven (7) working days to respond to the summary evaluation.
Summary Evaluation. The President of the College or the President’s designee shall after receipt and review of all the foregoing evaluation components develop a summary evaluation of each faculty member in an evaluation year. A copy of the summary evaluation shall be forwarded to the faculty member by February 1, and if requested, the President of the College or the President’s designee shall meet and confer with the faculty member to discuss the reasons therefore. The faculty member shall have seven (7) working days to respond to the summary evaluation. The results of the components shall be applied in a uniform manner and shall be assigned the following weights: Student Evaluation 25% Course Materials Evaluation 15% Classroom Observation Evaluation 25% Student Advisement Evaluation 10% College Service Evaluation 10% Personnel File Review 15%
Summary Evaluation. 8.8.1 The supervising administrator will meet with the faculty peer evaluators to review all of the evaluation materials. At this meeting, the peer evaluators will make their recommendations to the administrator. The supervising administrator will prepare a narrative report, using the approved District form, which summarizes the results of all evaluation activities. The report will include, but not be limited to, the following criteria:
1. Competency
2. Work Attitudes
3. Initiative
4. Attitude toward students 5. Attitude toward staff 6. Participation in faculty/college governance, service on college committees, projects and/or supervising student organizations
Summary Evaluation. Except for probationary employee, each formal evaluation shall be based upon at least one (1) observation, lasting a minimum of twenty (20) minutes or a maximum of one (1) hours. A Summary Evaluation shall be delivered to the employee at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the last day of school.
Summary Evaluation. The formal evaluation shall be written using the appropriate evaluation form. Copies will be retained by the evaluator, administrator or professional. An additional copy will be sent to Human Resources where it will become an item in the administrator's or professional’s personnel file.

Summary Evaluation. The summary evaluation is the final tool that concludes the evaluation process. The summary evaluation may be based on various performance factors, including but not limited to, formal and informal observation.
13.9.1 Each permanent unit member with fewer than ten (10) years of experience with the Redlands Unified School District, shall be formally evaluated in writing at least once every two (2) years, but may be evaluated each year. Bargaining unit members, who have at least ten (10) years of regular public school experience for which a valid public school credential (K-12) was held and required, who have attained permanent status with the Redlands Unified School District, and who have completed the CSTP Evaluation Process with an overall evaluation rating of “Meets Standards” or “Exemplifies or Exceeds Standards,” may be evaluated at least one (1) time every five (5) years if they are highly qualified as defined in 20 USC 7801. Either the employee or the evaluator may request or require evaluation in any school year. Each permanent member shall receive a copy of the formal written evaluation no later than May 15 of each school year in which the evaluation takes place. Whenever a Summary Evaluation has been prepared for a permanent unit member, there shall be a conference at which time both the evaluator and the evaluatee shall sign the document. Such conference shall be as prescribed by the terms and conditions set forth in this Article. The conference shall be held as soon as possible but no later than the last working day of the school year.
13.9.2 Each non-permanent member of the unit shall be formally evaluated in writing at least once each year. Each non-permanent member shall receive a copy of the formal written evaluation no later than March 1 of each school year in which the evaluation takes place. Whenever a Summary Evaluation has been prepared for a non-permanent unit member, there shall be a conference at which time both the evaluator and the evaluatee shall sign the document. The conference shall be held with the non- permanent member as soon as possible but no later than the last working day of the school year.
13.9.3 The evaluatee's immediate supervisor, principal/designee, or in the case of District Office personnel, division head/designee, shall assist with positive action to correct any cited deficiencies. Such action shall include specific recommendations for improvement (Assistance Plan).
Summary Evaluation. While evaluation by peers and administrators should be a continuous and ongoing process, each faculty member must be given periodic appraisals of how peers and administrators view that faculty member’s overall performance, and must be given an opportunity to respond to each such appraisal. The DPC upon the request by the faculty member will meet with the faculty member receiving a summary evaluation to discuss the summary evaluation with the faculty member after the faculty member has received it.
1. Non-tenured faculty members will receive summary evaluations each year to be completed according to the deadlines indicated below:
a. November 15 for those in their fourth or fifth year of service;
b. December 15 for those in their third year of service;
c. January 15 for those in their first or second year of service, except:
1). March 15 for those in their first year of service who were hired after November 1 but prior to the spring semester; 2). May 1 for those in their first year of service who were hired after the start of the spring semester.
2. Tenured faculty members will receive summary evaluations by the dates indicated:
a. February 28 during each year in which the faculty member is applying for promotion (see Article VIII);
b. April 30 during each year following a year in which a visit evaluation takes place;
c. April 30 in any additional year in which a summary evaluation is requested by the individual faculty member;
d. April 30 in any additional year in which the DPC, at its discretion, chooses to require a summary evaluation of a given faculty member, or any year in which (under extraordinary circumstances) the President of the College requires a summary evaluation of a given faculty member.
3. On a schedule to be determined by the DPC, between the submission of each faculty member's Self-Evaluation and the appropriate deadline date indicated above, the following steps shall occur:
a. The division Xxxx (or other appropriate administrator) shall prepare a DPC Commentary on the faculty member's overall performance, referring to the Self-Evaluation and including any additional relevant information or opinion considered appropriate. This commentary shall be organized into the following sections:
1). Teaching (or other primary work responsibility) 2). Contribution to discipline/department/division 3). Contribution to college/profession/community 4). Professional growth Each DPC Commentary shall be signed by those DPC members who concur with its conte...
