Clothing and Laundry. The Employer will provide each employee with the protective items as required by the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Act (MIOSHA) or protective gear made mandatory by the Employer. The Employer will provide employees rain gear, on a pooled basis, when necessary in the operations of their duties. Utility Operators and Drain Maintenance employees shall be provided with necessary protective clothing, which shall include as needed up to five (5) new shirts annually on May 1st for non-probationary employees. Additionally, up to $200 per employee will be reimbursed annually to be used for other protective clothing as deemed necessary by employee. (Sales receipt to be provided for reimbursement). Protective clothing is defined to include work coats and jackets with collar and/or zipper, coveralls, boots, gloves and jeans. Items must be work related. Other than jeans at seven (7) pairs, purchases will be limited to two (2) items of the same type.
