Combined Classes. Employees serving in a combined class, the component classes of which include the same duties as do two or more other classes, shall accrue seniority in the two component classes at a ratio of 50/50 unless otherwise agreed by the parties prior to the final notice of layoff being given.
Combined Classes. This is an assignment to teach two (2) or more courses of different content at the same time. Courses that have different designators or different course numbers or different course titles are courses with different content. Cross listed courses are not considered to be courses with different content. Courses delivered onsite at a college may not be combined with courses that are delivered online or through another system of distance learning. When combined class assignments are in distance learning, including online courses, the assignment may be made only if agreed to by the instructor. For courses delivered onsite, management may make such an assignment after consideration of the following conditions:
A. There must be a demonstrable business reason to do so, and
B. The combination must not cause a significant loss of course content or student ability to meet course objectives and outcomes, and
C. The maximum class size shall not exceed the highest maximum of any of the classes that are combined. When such an assignment is made, the number of workload credits assigned to the instructor who teaches two (2) combined courses shall be the number of credits of the course with the greatest credits plus one (1) credit. The workload credits for combined classes of three (3) or more courses shall be mutually agreed upon by the administration and the faculty member. These workload credits may be equal to or greater than those which result from the formula above, but may not be fewer, except as specified below. With mutual agreement between a faculty member and the administration, a small enrollment/combined class waiver may be granted. This waiver will result in compensation that is determined in a manner different than the compensation calculation of this Contract. Credit calculations for small class/combined class waivers shall not be less than one-third (1/3) of the credit calculations of this subdivision. Copies of such agreements will be provided to the State MSCF in a timely manner. The State MSCF may terminate such agreements after written notification to the system office and the college president. Such terminations are to be effective at the end of the academic year.
Combined Classes. When a teacher is assigned a combined class, the teacher shall receive an additional 1/5 teacher's salary per year for the extra preparation involved.

The credit-value of a combined-class assignment consisting of two (2) combined courses shall be calculated according to the following formula: The credit-value of the instructor’s assignment shall be the number of student credits of the course with the greatest student credits, plus one (1) credit. The credit-value for combined classes of three (3) or more courses shall be mutually agreed upon by the administration and the faculty member. The credit-value may be equal to or greater than that which would result from the formula above, but may not be less, except as specified below.

Combined Classes. Teachers who have combined classes will be paid an additional $1,000.00 per year. A teacher who has a combined class shall be defined as one who keeps attendance records, lunch records, and performs all other homeroom teacher duties for children in different grades simultaneously.
Combined Classes. The Board and the Association recognized that it may be necessary from time to time, to form classes comprised of students at varied levels of ability or achievement. 10.2 The Board and Association understand the complexity and difficulties in scheduling classes. Reasonable class size is essential to good education. Therefore, the district will keep class size within the limits and constraints imposed by classroom and materials considering thirty (30) students as an ideal maximum.
10.2.1 The Board and Association realize that there are facility and equipment limitations in some instructional areas that require special consideration. Currently the following facilities have teaching/learning situations for specific number of students, which shall be used as guidelines for assigning students:
a. Art Twenty- four (24) students
b. Auto Shop Twenty (20) students c. Computer Classes Twenty (20) students x. Xxxx Shop Twenty (20) students e. Laboratory Science Twenty (20) students f. Construction Technology Twenty (20) students g. Photo Classes Twenty (20) students
Combined Classes. Employees serving in a combined class, the component classes of which include the same duties as do two or more other bargaining unit classes, shall seniority in the component classes in the same manner as for the combined class, in the amount which reflect the proportion of regular non-overtime daily hours of employment, his entitlement to District paid health and welfare insurance benefits provided under the terms of this agreement shall continue at the rate he enjoyed prior to reduction in hours for a period of three (3) calendar months.
Combined Classes. In elementary buildings in which all the students in two grades/regular classrooms are combined to form one regular classroom and only one teacher is assigned to this classroom, the teacher shall receive an additional day of planning time per month during the months of September through May.
