COMMITMENT TO ONGOING EMPLOYMENT. 10.1 Ongoing employment is the primary form of public sector employment. 10.2 When an employee has been engaged as a trainee in accordance with the Training and Skills Development Act 2008 and has successfully completed their Contract of Training, has satisfactory performance appraisals throughout their employment and upholds the public sector values, the employee will become an ongoing employee pursuant to section 45(2)(a) of the Public Xxxxxx Xxx 0000 from the date of completion of the Contract of Training at the ASO2 classification level or equivalent. 10.3 When an employee has been engaged as a graduate and has successfully completed their study component, has satisfactory performance appraisals throughout their employment and upholds the public sector values, the employee will become an ongoing employee pursuant to section 45(2)(a) of the Public Xxxxxx Xxx 0000 from the date of completion of the study component at the ASO2 classification level or equivalent. 10.4 The Chief Executive or delegate must provide formal confirmation of this change of engagement to the employee.

COMMITMENT TO ONGOING EMPLOYMENT. D.6.1 Upon the successful completion of a Traineeship or Apprenticeship (excluding School Based Traineeships/Apprenticeships) and meeting Woolworths’s performance criteria and competencies, the team member shall be offered ongoing permanent employment with Woolworths for at least as many hours as they spent on the job (on an average per week basis) during their Traineeship or Apprenticeship. Such period of apprenticeship or traineeship shall be counted as service for the purpose of the Agreement or any other legislative entitlements. D.6.2 When offering ongoing employment at the completion of the Traineeship or Apprenticeship Woolworths will give consideration to the distance required to be travelled by the team member, however, Woolworths will retain the right to nominate the location of the store.

  • Continuing Employment (a) Continuing employment means full-time or fractional-time employment that does not have a fixed end date or a contingency upon which the employment contract will come to an end. (b) All employment other than fixed-term employment and casual employment will be continuing employment. (c) Notwithstanding subclause 16.0(b) above, the University may employ a person in Continuing (Contingent Funded Research) employment on a full-time or fractional-time basis in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.

  • Alternative Employment An employer, in a particular redundancy case, may make application to the Commission to have the general severance pay prescription varied if the employer obtains acceptable alternative employment for an employee.

  • Outside Employment Employees may engage in other employment outside of their State working hours so long as the outside employment does not involve a conflict of interest with their State employment. Whenever it appears that any such outside employment might constitute a conflict of interest, the employee is expected to consult with his/her appointing authority or other appropriate agency representative prior to engaging in such outside employment. Employees of agencies where there are established procedures concerning outside employment for the purpose of insuring compliance with specific statutory restrictions on outside employment are expected to comply with such procedures.
