Company Service Credit During Approved Non-occupational or Occupational Absences. An employee who is disabled and unable to work will receive Company Service Credit for the period of his Short Term Disability approved by the Company and/or the period of his Long Term Disability approved by the Insurance Company.

Company Service Credit During Approved Non-occupational or Occupational Absences. After an employee exhausts twenty-six weeks of short-term disability benefit coverage and eighteen months of long-term disability coverage, the Company will terminate their employment. All benefits and provisions of Article 10-Disability Pay will be applicable during the twenty-four month period. An employee who is disabled and unable to work will receive Company Service Credit for the period of his Short‑Term Disability approved by the Company and/or the period of his Long‑Term Disability approved by the Insurance Company.

  • Leave of Absence for Union Business (a) The Employer shall grant leaves of absence to employees to attend Union Conventions, negotiations of the Collective Agreement with the Employer and other Union business. The Union agrees that such leave will not unduly affect the proper operations or be detrimental to the proficient operations of the Employer.

  • Approved Leave of Absence During Vacation Where it can be established by the employee through a doctor's certificate that an illness or accident occurred, or where an employee qualifies for bereavement or any other approved leave during his/her period of vacation, there shall be no deduction from vacation credits for such absence. The period of vacation so displaced shall either be added to the vacation or reinstated for use at a later date, at the employee's option, as mutually agreed.

  • Union Activity During Working Hours The Employer and the Union recognize that union representatives and stewards play an important role in effectuating the terms of this Agreement; however, both parties acknowledge that the duties undertaken as a union representative or xxxxxxx are in addition to the their job assignments. The Union shall notify the Department of Budget and Management in writing of the names of designated stewards and union representatives prior to them assuming any duties. Consistent with the operational needs of the Employer, the Employer shall grant time off with pay for designated stewards and union representatives, including reasonable travel time when necessary, to attend:

  • Sick Leave During Leave of Absence (F/T) When an Employee is given leave of absence without pay for any reason, or is laid off on account of lack of work, he/she shall not continue to accumulate sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness for the period of such absence, but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or lay-off.

  • Canadian Armed Forces (a) Employees who participate in activities related to the Reserve Component of the Canadian Armed Forces may be granted leave of absence as follows:
