Compensation for Loss of Tools. The Company is to provide a "tool list form" for completion by each employee on commencement. This form may be adjusted from time to time when the employee increases/decreases his tools. Where the Company fails to provide the list as mentioned above the Company will be liable for all tools lost, as determined by the employee affected.

(a) Tools stored at a workplace Tools stored at a workplace at the direction of the Company and which are lost by breaking and entering whilst securely stored in a lockup on major construction sites, a site shed, building or workshop must be replaced by the Company provided that:
(i) the list of those tools has been previously provided to the Company and agreed with by the Company as necessary for work at that workplace; and
(ii) the loss is reported to the police.
(b) Tools stored in a Company vehicle Tools stored in a Company vehicle at the Company direction and which are lost by breaking and entering or by the vehicle being stolen must be replaced by the Company provided that:
(i) the employee has taken appropriate precautions to prevent the loss including locking the vehicle and any storage facilities on the vehicle; and
(ii) the list of those tools has been previously provided to the Company and agreed with by the Company as necessary for work at that workplace; and
(iii) the loss is reported to the police. Tool replacement shall be based upon the same (or equivalent) standard and type to those declared under (a) (i) and (b) (ii).
Compensation for Loss of Tools. An employer shall compensate an employee by the payment of an allowance to replace tools lost by breaking and entering whilst securely stored at the employers direction in a room or building on the employer’s premises, job, workshop or in a lock-up to a maximum trade value as defined in Appendix A of this Agreement. Provided that this clause shall not apply if the employer has requested the employee to supply the employer with a list of tools required to be kept on the job and the employee has not supplied such a list.
19. Superannuation
Compensation for Loss of Tools. The Company shall compensate an Employee by the payment of an allowance pursuant to Schedule 2, to replace tools lost by breaking and entering whilst securely stored at the Company’s direction in a room or building on the Company’s premises, service van, job, workshop or in a lock-up.
Compensation for Loss of Tools. (i) An employer shall on behalf on their employees replace tools lost by breaking and entering whilst securely stored at the employer's direction in a site shed, building, workshop or lockup on major construction sites to a maximum trade value of $500.00.
(ii) Provided that clause 5.8.15(f) shall not apply if the employer has requested the employee to supply a list of tools kept on the job and the employee has not supplied such a list.
(iii) Provided further that the matter is reported to the police.
Compensation for Loss of Tools. The Company shall compensate an Employee to replace tools lost by breaking and entering whilst securely stored at the Company’s direction in a room or building on the Company’s premises, jobsite, workshop or in a lock-up up to a value of $376.00. Where evidence is produced by the Employee that they have suffered a greater loss, the Company shall pay the additional amount. This clause only applies where the Employee, at the request of the Company, has supplied the Company with a list of tools required to be kept on the job.
Compensation for Loss of Tools. The company shall, on behalf of the employee, replace employees tools lost by theft whilst working, providing these tools were securely stored in a locked company vehicle or locked private vehicle whilst at work or any storage facility situated on the company’s premises, job site, workshop or lockup. Employees’ tools lost by theft whilst actually being used for work (i.e. when not securely stored as described above) are however the sole responsibility of the employee and these will not be replaced. Any claim for such loss of tools by theft shall be accompanied by a police report. Each employee shall provide the company with an up to date validated agreed list of tools in regard to this clause. Failure to provide such a list shall result in any application for replacement of lost tools to not be considered by management. Company vehicle driver's tools will be covered as above, if stolen whilst the vehicle is locked and is parked on the employee’s private property or in the immediate vicinity. Company vehicles are provided only for work related and private use under the following conditions:
Compensation for Loss of Tools. (a) The Company shall on behalf of the employee replace tools lost by breaking and entering whilst securely stored at the Company’s direction in a room or building on the Company’s premises, job, workshop or in a lock-up to a maximum trade value of $700.00.
(b) Provided that this clause shall not apply if the Company has requested the employee to supply a list of tools required to be kept on the job and the employee has not supplied such a list. The Company has the right to inspect the employee’s tools at regular intervals to ensure that they match the list supplied by the employee and that they match the requirements of the job.
Compensation for Loss of Tools. (i) Subject to the following subclauses, the Company shall, on behalf on their employees, replace tools lost by breaking and entering whilst securely stored in:
(A) a site shed, building, workshop or lockup on major construction sites; or
(B) a Company motor vehicle to a maximum value of $3,000.00.
(ii) Clause 17.13 (c) (i) shall not apply unless:
(A) the employee has provided to the Company, a list of tools kept on the job or stored in the Company motor vehicle;
(B) the matter has been reported to the police by the employee and the employee has supplied a copy of the police report to the Company; and
(C) the employee has provided verification of the replacement costs (eg. receipts and invoices) of the stolen tools to the Employer.
Compensation for Loss of Tools. 37.1. The Joinery and Building Trades Award 2020 shall apply to relevant employees to a maximum of $2,242 and subject to the conditions of the Award provision.
37.2. The Company may choose to replace the lost tools with tools of equal quality in lieu of payment.
