Authorisation of Authorised Supervisor might take longer than expected.  The contractor shall allow in his program, 10 days for the authorized supervisor training and panel interview prior to commencing with the works on site.  The contractor’s authorized supervisor would be responsible to carry out duties outlined in the Eskom plant safety regulations.  During works, the employer shall do random SHERQ audits.  The contractor shall adhere to the agreed schedule, and apply project management principles to avoid delays.  No work shall commence without the supervision and or availability of key personnel on site as required by the legislation.  The contractor shall carry out the works according to the specifications and designs provided by the Employer.  The Contractor’s deployment of key personnel on site shall be strictly in line with the requirements of the Employer’s technical requirement criteria.  Normal working hours must be maintained as far as possible. The normal working hours on site will be from 07:30am to 16:30pm Monday to Friday. Should the Contractor wish to work outside these normal working hours, he should notify the Project Manager in writing.  The Contractor will only be allowed to work outside the specified hours once the Project Manager has approved the request in writing.  All provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993, and any other applicable legislation, must be adhered to.
