Couriers. If arrangements are made to transfer items, funds or other property between you and us or our designated agent by means of a messenger, courier or armored carrier (collectively, “Messenger”), you agree that:
(a) the Messenger is your agent, and not our agent;
(b) you assume all risk of loss of, or damage to, the property while it is in transit;
(c) property is not received by us until we provide a receipt for it at our office (or at such other location as we designate); and
(d) the property is delivered to you when we give it to the Messenger. We make no warranty or representation regarding any Messenger. Our confirmation of the receipt of any bag or container shall not be considered a confirmation of its contents. All contents are subject to later verification by us. You understand that local traffic conditions and other circumstances may affect the time of shipments and that the Messenger may abandon or delay any scheduled shipment if its observes suspicious circumstances at your location.

Couriers. (a) Each Chinese designated travel agency may appoint up to two persons to act on its behalf and account as couriers in the necessary visa application process for Chinese tourist groups wishing to visit Iceland. The couriers are entitled to submit visa applications for such groups to the designated embassies or consular offices in China.
(b) The Couriers shall be authorised to enter the designated embassies or consular offices with a badge issued by CNTA and a photo identity badge and certificate issued by the designated embassies or consular offices, to which the CNTA shall give relevant details of the persons acting as couriers of each travel agency. The certificate will contain at least the name and address of the travel agency and the name of the person acting as courier.
(c) In case a designated travel agency is no longer accredited with the designated embassies or consular offices in China, the travel agency concerned is obliged to return the badges and certificates to the relevant designated embassy or consular office for their subsequent invalidation. Furthermore, an accredited travel agency has the obligation to return the badges and certificates to the relevant designated embassy or consular office if the persons who were acting as its couriers are no longer employed in that capacity with that agency.

Couriers. Courier escort by the Lender must be agreed under e) Special Agreements. The Borrower shall bear all travel expenses thus incurred, including per diems and hotel accommodation in a good mid-range hotel. The installation of the works must be handled by the Borrower’s own specially trained staff. The Borrower shall ensure that the loan(s) are properly protected at all times. The objects shall be preserved in the condition in which they were received and the best possible protection be guaranteed at all times. The Borrower may not make any changes to the loan(s) without the Lender’s prior written consent. Except in an emergency, the works may not be moved or re-hung without the Lender’s permission. The Lender shall prepare a Condition Report which shall accompany the loan(s) and which the Borrower shall check, and if necessary complete, upon the arrival of the loan(s). The Condition Report shall be signed both upon receipt of the loan(s) and at the end of the exhibition and shall be returned with the object(s). Should the Lender not be able to provide a Condition Report, the Borrower shall prepare such a report after unpacking the loan(s). The Lender must be informed without delay of any changes in the condition of the loan(s).
Couriers. The Liaison Officer may take custody of Classified Information to perform courier functions, when authorized by the Host Party certification for the Liaison Officer. The Classified Information shall be packaged and receipted for in compliance with Host Party requirements.
Couriers. Upon approval by Carrier (which approval shall not be reasonably withheld), couriers may accompany cargo for the safety and protection thereof in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration's regulations and limitations relating to couriers.

(c) in case a designated travel agency is no longer accredited with a Member State's embassy or consular office, the travel agency concerned is obliged to return the badges and certificates to the issuing Member State's embassy or consular office for their subsequent invalidation. Furthermore, an accredited travel agency has the obligation to return the badge and certificate to the issuing Member State's embassy or consular office if the person who was acting as its courier is no longer employed in that capacity with that agency.

The Borrower is responsible for all expenses derived from the courier’s travel, including per diems and hotel accommodation in a good middle-class hotel. The Borrower shall secure constant and adequate protection of the loan(s). The objects should be maintained in the condition in which they were received and the Borrower is to take the best possible care of the objects. The Borrower may not make any changes to the condition of the property on loan without written consent from the Lender. The works must not be moved or re-hung without permission from the Lender except in an emergency. The Lender shall prepare a condition report which is to accompany the object and which upon arrival of the object(s) must be completed by the Borrower. Should the Lender not be able to provide a condition report the Borrower will prepare such a report when unpacking the loan(s) on his premises. If any changes in the condition of the loan(s) be noted the Lender must be contacted without delay. Version B Installation must be handled by qualified professional art handlers supervised by the Lender’s staff and trained for action in emergencies. The Borrower shall secure constant and adequate protection of the loan(s). The objects should be maintained in the condition in which they were received and the Borrower is to take the best possible care of the objects. Works packed in climate-controlled crates must be stored for acclimatisation for at least 24 hours. Empty crates shall be stored in a secure climate and temperature controlled indoor storage area, protected from moisture, pollution, fungus and vermin. For acclimatization they should be delivered to the galleries 24 hours before re-packing begins. The Borrower may not make any changes to the condition of the property. The works must not be moved or re-hung or re-installed without permission from the Lender except in an emergency. Framed objects may not be unframed, removed from mounts or protective devices, cleaned or altered in any way without prior written consent by the Lender.
