Date of Observance. (a) Should the provincial or Federal Government(s) proclaim a day in lieu of any of the holidays listed in 16.01(a), the day proclaimed shall become the holiday for the purpose of interpreting this Article.
(b) When a paid holiday falls on a Saturday and/or a Sunday, and another day is not proclaimed in lieu thereof in accordance with paragraph (a), a day off in lieu thereof will be given on a working day immediately preceding or immediately following the paid holiday, to be chosen by the Corporation.
Date of Observance. Holidays in this Article are to be observed on the federally designated Monday except that Christmas Day shall always be observed on December 25, New Year’s Day shall always be observed on January 1, Independence Day shall always be observed on July 4, and Thanksgiving Day shall always be observed on the 4th Thursday in November.
Date of Observance. Employees who work in a unit which is staffed by AFIS New Year’s Day First of January Juneteenth Nineteenth of June Independence Day Fourth of July Veteran’s Day Eleventh of November Christmas Day Twenty-fifth of December
Date of Observance. Employees who work in a twenty-four hour, seven day per 11 week operation shall observe the following five (5) holidays on the specific dates listed below.
Date of Observance. Employees who work in a twenty-four hour, seven day per 13 (AFIS) division of the Sheriff’s Office. For these specific named holidays, overtime will be paid only New Year’s Day First of January Juneteenth Nineteenth of June Independence Day Fourth of July Veteran’s Day Eleventh of November Christmas Day Twenty-fifth of December
Date of Observance. All holidays shall be observed in accordance with RCW 1.16.050, as amended. Provided further, that employees who work in a twenty-four hour seven day per week operation such as the Communications Center shall observe the following four (4) holidays on the specific dates listed below. For these specific named holidays, overtime will be paid only to those employees who work on the dates listed below: New Year’s Day First of January Independence Day Fourth of July Veteran’s Day Eleventh of November Christmas Day Twenty-Fifth of December

Date of Observance. Apart from floating holidays, a designated holiday shall normally be observed on the calendar day on which it falls, except that if a holiday falls on a member’s first, second, or third regular day off, the last workday before the holiday shall be the member’s designated holiday. If a holiday falls on a member’s fourth, fifth, or sixth regular day off, the next workday after the holiday shall be the member’s designated holiday. Date of Observance. Should the Provincial or Federal Government(s) proclaim a day in lieu of any of the holidays listed in 14.01, the day proclaimed shall become the holiday for the purpose of this Article. When a paid holiday falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, the Employer will normally observe the following Monday as the holiday. However should the Employer decide to operate on the Monday, then the paid holiday will be scheduled at a time in the future that is mutually agreeable between the individual employee and her Supervisor. Where operational needs are adequately met employees will be given this time off in conjunction with future days off.
Date of Observance. The Employer retains the right to determine the specific day on which holidays in this Article are to be observed; provided Christmas Day shall always be observed on December 25, New Year's Day shall always be observed on January 1, and Independence Day shall always be observed on July 4. Advance notification of such decision shall be given to all employees during the month of December for the following year.
