Pursuant to Chapter 173 of the Texas Election Code, election services, equipment, and materials ordered from a Texas-certified voting system vendor shall be reported to the Office of the Secretary of State (“SOS”) by the vendor and the SOS shall pay the vendor directly. Election services, equipment, and materials described in this contract provided by the contracting officer shall be reported to the SOS via the SOS-prescribed primary finance system by the contracting officer and the SOS shall pay the contracting officer directly. Any statutory duties required of the contracting officer shall be a cost borne by the county.
