Educational Reasons. Leave may be granted to a non-probationary employee for a maximum period of two (2) years for purposes of education, training or specialized experience which would be of benefit to the service by improved performance at any level or a voluntary service in any governmentally sponsored program of public benefit.

Educational Reasons. An unpaid leave of absence shall be granted for an initial maximum period of six (6) months for purposes of education, training, specialized experience which would be of benefit to the service by improved performance at any level, or for voluntary service in any governmentally sponsored program of public benefit. If the course of study or experience necessitates a one (1) year leave at the outset, the initial leave may be granted for a period not to exceed one (1) year. Such leave shall be taken in consecutive days. No extensions beyond a combined total of one (1) year leave will be granted.

  • Personal Reasons An employee will be allowed a thirty (30) day leave of absence without pay for personal reasons, if:

  • School discipline The Parents accept the authority of the Headmaster and of other members of staff on the Headmaster's behalf to take all reasonable disciplinary or preventative action necessary to safeguard and promote the welfare of the Pupil and the School community as a whole. The School's policies on behaviour and discipline current at the time and published on the School website apply to all pupils at the School and at all times when the Pupil is in or at school, (including when engaged in online or remote learning), representing the School or wearing School uniform, travelling to or from School, on School-organised trips or associated with the School at any time. The policies shall also apply at all times and places in circumstances where failing to apply this policy may affect the health, safety or wellbeing of a member of the School community or a member of the public, have repercussions for the orderly running of the School or bring the School into disrepute.

  • Leave for Personal Reasons (a) An employee may be allowed a leave of absence without pay for up to thirty (30) days for personal reasons if:

  • Education Benefits Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 5, academic staff members who qualify for benefits in accordance with Article 23.5.2.1 may take a credit, or non-credit language class offered by the University provided it does not interfere with performance of duties as determined by the Xxxx. The member and the Xxxx may discuss ways in which duties may be reassigned to make it possible for the member to take the class. Upon successful completion, reimbursement of tuition will be provided for one class per semester.

  • Supervisory Employees For the purposes of this Article, the parties agree that Supervisory positions are those that are not excluded under Article 2.0 above and that satisfy the following criteria:
