Employee and Spouse Employed by District. In the event that the District employs and employee and spouse, the employee and spouse may both be allowed to carry single coverage, if permitted by the terms of the insurance policy, in such case the District will then pay the sums as provided in Subd. 2 hereof, or the District will contribute a sum not to exceed the single rate for one spouse, plus the family rate for one spouse. In any event, the combination thereof shall not exceed the total cost of the premium. The premium not contributed by the District shall be borne by the employee and paid by payroll deduction. If the premiums are less than the District contribution, the District shall not pay the difference to the employee.

Employee and Spouse Employed by District. In the event that the District employs an employee and spouse, the employee and spouse will have the following options if permitted by the terms of the insurance policy: 1. both employees may be allowed to carry single coverage with single contribution as specified in their own employee group; 2. one employee may carry family coverage with contribution of their own work group and the single contribution for the other employee’s work group. The premium not contributed by the District shall be borne by the employee and paid by payroll deduction. If the premiums are less than the District contribution, the District shall not pay the difference to the employee.
