Employee Request to Transfer to a Vacant Position. Primary requisites for filling a position are overall performance and qualifications. The Superintendent and/or Principal or Immediate Supervisor shall determine who is the most qualified candidate. This determination shall not be subject to the employee grievance procedure. Applications for such positions may be accepted from personnel within and without the District. The Superintendent and/or Principal or Immediate Supervisor in filling the position, shall consider the background, skills and experience of each applicant together with such other factors, as he/she shall deem to be relevant. If, in the judgment of the Superintendent and/or Principal or Immediate Supervisor, the background, skill and experience of the applicants deemed by it to be most qualified are substantially equal, preference will be given to the most qualified applicant then currently employed by the District having the greatest length of service. All candidates shall be notified of the outcome of their application as soon as possible.

  • Employee Request Subject to the operational requirements of the service, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort to ensure that an Employee's written request for vacation leave is approved. Where, in scheduling vacation leave, the Employer is unable to comply with the Employee's written request, the immediate management supervisor shall:
