Employer Safety Committee. In order to confront increasingly significant district wide problems of safety at school sites; The parties agree to the formation of a cooperative Safety Committee made up of eight members, four to be appointed by the Association who will represent all Unit members including ECE, Pre-school/elementary, middle school and secondary/adult school sites unit members including four to be appointed by the Superintendent representing Legal and/or Labor Relations, Budget and school-site administration. The Committee will gather concerns and suggestions. The Committee will arrive at recommendations for action through consensus. Committee recommendations for action will be directly presented to the Superintendent. The Committee will issue monthly reports back to the site Faculty Councils and site administrators, with copies to the Association.

Employer Safety Committee. In order to confront increasingly significant district wide problems of safety at school sites; The parties agree to the formation of a cooperative Safety Committee made up of twelve (12) members, four to be appointed by the Association who will represent all Unit members including ECE, Pre-school/elementary, middle school and secondary/adult school sites unit members, four to be appointed by the Superintendent representing Legal and/or Labor Relations, Budget and school-site administration and four to be appointed by the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Parent-Student Advisory Committee (PSAC). The Committee will gather concerns and suggestions relating to issues of student and school staff safety including but not limited to environmental hazards, natural disaster preparation, fire safety, threats of violence, and issues impacting school climate, including the efficacy of restorative practice. The Committee will arrive at recommendations for action through consensus. Committee recommendations for action will be directly presented to the Superintendent. The Committee will issue monthly reports back to the site Faculty Councils and site administrators, with copies to the Association. In addition, the Committee shall issue an annual report to the Governing Board, the OEA and the LCAP PSAC no later than April 30 of each school year regarding the concerns received and their resolution.
Employer Safety Committee. The parties agree that there shall be a District-wide Safety Committee. The purpose of this committee shall be to annually review the District’s health, safety, and emergency preparedness plan and to make recommendations for changes to this plan to the Board of Education. The participation on this committee shall be voluntary. The members of the District-wide Safety Committee shall be as follows: two (2) employees selected by the Association from each attendance center, one (1) administrator from each attendance center and two (2) board members. The committees shall also make the Employer aware of any unaddressed safety issue(s) and make recommendations for possible solutions.   • Safety Committee 62.1 Where a Health and Safety Committee is established on a job in accordance with section 72 of the OHS Act, it shall include the Employer’s Site Safety Supervisor and the Health and Safety Representative/s.

  • Joint Health and Safety Committee i) Recognizing its responsibilities under the applicable legislation, the Hospital agrees to accept as a member of its Joint Health and Safety Committee, at least one (1) representative selected or appointed by the Association from amongst bargaining unit employees from each Hospital site. Hospitals will choose either to include a representative from the bargaining unit from each Hospital site, or to have a separate Joint Health and Safety Committee at each Hospital site, unless the parties agree otherwise.

  • Safety Committees Joint employee-elected and Employer appointed safety committees shall be formed in accord with WISHA requirements and following University of Washington policy. The Union is entitled to representation on the University-wide or specific organizational or divisional committees where bargaining unit employees are working. Any department or unit committee also dealing with health and safety issues in work areas shall appropriately involve bargaining unit employees. Participation in safety and health committees, including meeting time, health and safety research, work on committee assignments, seminars, and classes will be considered time worked for all employees in accordance with University policy. Release time must be arranged with supervisors in advance. When the committee makes a recommendation that requires action or approval beyond its scope of authority, the Employer will communicate its disposition of the formal written recommendation within thirty (30) days.

  • Health and Safety Committees A. The parties agree that Joint Union/Management Health and Safety Committees are appropriate. At the Union's request, each department shall establish at least one Joint Union/Management Health and Safety Committee.
