Employment Leave. Upon making a request in writing an employee may be granted up to one (1) year leave of absence without pay and without loss or accumulation of seniority provided that such employee shall not during such period of leave, undertake employment with a public health unit or agency, unless such employment is temporary in nature. Such leave of absence is to be for good and sufficient cause and is subject to the recommendation of the employee's senior management staff member and upon the approval of the Chief Executive Officer.
