Entitlement to Professional Leave. A Licensed Educational Interpreter may be authorized to attend a professional conference (which shall not include EIA or affiliated organizations sponsored activities of a non-instructional nature), as approved by the Superintendent or his/her designee, with no loss of pay.

Entitlement to Professional Leave. A bargaining unit member may be authorized to attend a professional conference (which shall not include Union or affiliated organizations sponsored activities of a non- instructional nature), as approved by the SUPERINTENDENT or his/her designee, with no loss of pay. The bargaining unit member shall submit his/her application for professional leave for a conference at least twenty (20) calendar days in advance of the event. Professional leave shall not accrue. In addition, professional leave shall not be counted against perfect attendance.

Entitlement to Professional Leave. A Certified School Psychologist may be authorized to attend professional conferences, staff development training as approved by his/her direct supervisor, or Superintendent's designee, with no loss of pay.

  • Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part- time employees who are elected to or appointed to the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario subject to the following limitations:

  • Professional Leaves 1. Professional Leaves are to be used by an employee to gain knowledge for the position contracted through Bath Local Schools. The employee must request Professional Leave through the employee kiosk. Upon approval, the employee may be permitted to attend the Professional Meeting and will be paid at the regular rate.

  • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • Personal/Carer’s Leave a) Personal/carer’s leave is defined in accordance with Section 244 of the Act and includes paid sick leave (accrued under the AFPCS) and paid or unpaid carer’s leave (accrued under the AFPCS). Casual employees shall have no entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave.

  • Payment of Paid Personal/Carer’s Leave (a) If an employee takes a period of paid personal/xxxxx’s leave and meets the notice requirements set out at Clause 44.3 the employer must pay the employee at the employee’s base rate of pay for the employee’s ordinary hours of work in the period.
