Establishment of a Joint Committee. 4.1 In exercise of their powers under sections 101(5) and 102 of the Local Government Xxx 0000, sections 19 and 20 of the Local Government Act 2000 and all other enabling powers the Councils hereby create a joint committee for Partneriaeth Addysg De Orllewin Cymru/South West Wales Education Partnership to be known as the PARTNERIAETH Joint Committee with effect from the Commencement Date. 4.2 The Councils shall use their Powers in sections 101, 102, 111, 112 and 113 of the Local Government Xxx 0000, sections 2, 19 and 20 of the Local Government Xxx 0000, section 1 of the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Xxx 0000, section 25 of the Local Government (Wales) Xxx 0000, section 9 of the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2009, section 13 and 13A of the Education Xxx 0000 and all other enabling powers available from time to time to facilitate their effective participation in the Joint Committee and the effective delivery of the Services in accordance with the terms of this Agreement. 4.3 The Joint Committee shall operate and conduct its business in accordance with the terms of this Agreement including the Terms of Reference of the Joint Committee as set out at Schedule 3 to this Agreement. 4.4 The Councils may from time to time vary the terms of reference of the Joint Committee and this shall be a matter reserved to the Councils. The reservation to the Councils does not preclude the Joint Committee from making recommendations to vary the terms of the reference where it considers they shall promote the Council’s Obligations. 4.5 The Joint Committee shall not have power to approve any matter which has been reserved to the Councils as set out in Schedule 8 to this Agreement. Any matter reserved to the Councils in accordance with Schedule 8 will require the unanimous agreement of all Councils before being endorsed by the Joint Committee and implemented by the PARTNERIAETH. 4.6 The Joint Committee may delegate functions to sub-committees and officers. 4.7 This Agreement is without prejudice to each Council’s other powers and responsibilities for its area.

This Committee may call upon additional persons for technical information or advice. Establishment of a Joint Committee. 2.1 In exercise of their powers under sections 101(5) and 102 of the Local Government Xxx 0000, sections 9EA and 9EB of the Local Government Act 2000 and all other enabling powers including the Local Authorities (Arrangements for the Discharge of Functions) (England), the Councils have agreed the Constitution of the Joint Committee set out in Schedule 1 which shall govern the operation of the Joint Committee, established by the Councils, and have further agreed to enter this Agreement to set out those arrangements with effect from the Commencement Date.
Establishment of a Joint Committee. (1) In order to facilitate the implementation of the present Agreement, the Contracting Parties agree to set up a Joint Committee for Investment Cooperation composed of the representatives of the Contracting Parties. (3) The Joint Committee shall meet alternately in the Republic of Korea and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at the request of either Contracting Party.
Establishment of a Joint Committee. 5.1 In exercise of their powers under sections 101(4) and 102(4) of the Local Government Xxx 0000, the Authorities hereby create a Joint Committee to be known as the BCPP Joint Committee with effect from the Commencement Date. 5.2 The purpose of the Joint Committee shall be to undertake the activities set out in the Terms of Reference. 5.3 The Joint Committee shall operate and conduct its business in accordance with the terms of this Agreement including the Constitution and the Terms of Reference and may create sub-committees and working groups to support its role including an Officer Operations Group.

The Parties shall establish a Joint Committee, consisting of such members as the Parties may consider appropriate for the purpose of carrying out the obligations under this Agreement, in particular: (i) to determine and set out the administrative and operational requirements of exchanging information and establishing communication procedures; and (ii) to undertake implementable projects or activities as listed in Annex 1 of this Agreement. 2. The Joint Committee shall periodically submit reports to the Senior Officials, for their consideration and action. 3. The Joint Committee shall convene its inaugural meeting on a date and at a venue acceptable to all Parties, as may be determined through diplomatic channels.

Establishment of a Joint Committee. 2.1 In exercise of their powers under sections 101(5) and 102 of the Local Government Xxx 0000, sections 19 and 20 of the Local Government Act 2000 and all other enabling powers the Councils hereby agree to continue to constitute the Joint Committee which was originally constituted under the Previous Agreement as set out in Schedule 1 which shall govern the operation of the Joint Committee, to be known as The LGSS Joint Committee (and within this Agreement also referred to as “the Joint Committee”) with effect from the Commencement Date. 2.2 By entering into this Agreement CCC and NCC agree that the Previous Agreement is hereby superseded.
Establishment of a Joint Committee. 5.1 In exercise of their powers under sections 102(1)(b) of the Local Government Xxx 0000 and the LGPS Investment Regulations the Councils created the Joint Committee with effect from the Commencement Date. 5.2 The purpose of the Joint Committee is to undertake the Specified Functions to the extent set out in the Joint Committee Terms of Reference. 5.3 The Joint Committee shall operate and conduct its business in accordance with the terms of this Agreement including the Constitution and the Joint Committee Terms of Reference. 5.4 In so far as the business of the Joint Committee may require the exercise of overview or scrutiny functions by the elected members of the Councils, each of the Councils will comply with the overview and scrutiny requirements of its own constitution. 5.5 In discharging its functions the Joint Committee shall: (a) Take steps to ensure that together the Operator(s) provide sufficient sub- funds and/or vehicles to enable each Council to execute its investment strategy; (b) Have due regard to any relevant stewardship codes of practice or other relevant documents, recognising that individual Councils reserve the right to adopt their own individual policies in areas including application of stewardship codes, exercise of shareholder voting rights and policies in respect of responsible investment; (c) Ensure at all times that the processes and arrangements of the Pool deliver value for money for the Councils and the taxpayer; (d) Ensure that members appointed to the Joint Committee undertake training to acquire and maintain knowledge and skills relevant to the performance of their duties; and (e) Put arrangements in place to ensure that it takes decisions only after considering proper advice from the Section 151 Officers Group and, where required, from Monitoring Officers or from appropriate professional advisers. 5.6 The Councils may from time to time agree to vary this Agreement to enable any other pension administering authority to become a party to this Agreement and such agreement will be effected by the Councils and that other pension administering authority entering into a deed of variation on such terms as may be agreed including but without prejudice to the generality hereof to include provision that the terms of Schedule 5 relating to cost sharing will apply.
Establishment of a Joint Committee. 1. For the purpose of implementation of the present protocol, pursuant to art. 5 of the Cultural Agreement of the 29th of June 1973, a Joint Committee, composed of representatives designated by the two Contracting Parties is established. 2. The tasks of the Joint Committee are as follows: a. Identify the fields of co-operation on the basis of the information received form Institutions of each country and the respective national policies in research. b. Create the favourable conditions for the implementation of the present Protocol. c. Facilitate and support the implementation of joint programmes and projects. d. Examine the progress of activities related to the present Protocol. e. Exchange experience arising from the bilateral research and development co-operation and examine the proposals for the further development of co- operation. 3. The Joint Committee will meet at least once during the validity of the present Protocol, unless otherwise agreed, in the Italian Republic or in the Republic of Cyprus, and will evaluate past and current activities and identify future fields of co-operation, as well as approve the list of mutually accepted projects of co-operation after evaluation of the joint proposals received. 4. The Joint Committee may elaborate its own rules of procedures.
