Expectations Meeting (Establish Goals and Objectives. During March or April of each year, an employee will meet with the supervisor who will be responsible for conducting the employee’s performance review for the upcoming year. At the expectations meeting, the supervisor and the employee will discuss and establish the specific performance factors/goals for which the employee will be held accountable. Performance factors/goals should be reasonably specific, attainable and job-related. The expectations meeting will be documented in writing and signed by both the supervisor and the employee.

At the expectations meeting, the supervisor (as defined in Section 4 below) and the employee will discuss the specific expectations and performance factors to which the employee will be held accountable. This review may include a review of the employee's written position description, which accurately explains the incumbent's duties and responsibilities upon which the employee will be evaluated by the supervisor.
