FUNERAL LEAVE DAYS. All employees covered by this Agreement shall be granted, by the Board, up to five (5) working days off with pay for a death in the employee's immediate family. The immediate family shall be defined as spouse, children, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, mother and father-in-law, brothers, sisters, brothers and sisters-in-law. Where a special relationship has been established by the employee with a blood relative, the employee may request the Human Resource Director to grant up to two (2) days for funeral leave, minimum of one-half (1/2) day intervals.

  • Funeral Leave Section 30.1 In the event of the death of a parent, spouse, child, sister, brother, mother-in- law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent of the Employee or spouse, grandchild of the Employee, or “xxxxxx” or “step” situations within these relationships, the Employee shall be allowed a leave of absence with pay of two (2) consecutive (eight or ten hour) workdays.
