Examples of Funeral Leave in a sentence
Funeral Leave is in addition to and separate from vacation or sick leave provided in this Resolution.
An employee will be allowed three (3) consecutive working days of Funeral Leave with pay in the event of a death in his immediate family; namely father, mother, step- father, step-mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, spouse (including established civil unions), son, daughter, step-son, step-daughter, brother and sister.
An employee shall not forfeit their holiday pay if absent due to a verified personal illness and or paid sick leave, or if an employee is on Jury Duty, Funeral Leave, or a Personal Business Day.
Requests to use sick leave credits for a death in the employee's immediate family shall be in accordance with the Funeral Leave section of the Leaves of Absence Article.
The JSO will not unreasonably deny a request for Bereavement or Funeral Leave subject to the provisions of this Article.
