- Grievances Regarding Layoff or Recall. In cases of layoff, a grievance claiming that an employee or employees were laid off out of line of seniority must be filed in writing within five (5) working days from the date the Board first submitted a list to the chairperson of the Grievance Committee of the employee or employees so laid off. Employees upon recall who have returned to work and find they have been deprived of their rights as outlined in this agreement shall have five (5) working days in which to file a grievance.
