Key objectives The Operator must operate each Operator RVM in accordance with this Agreement and the Services Specification to support the successful delivery of the Scheme. The Operator must provide the Operational Services in a consistent manner that: supports and assists the Principal in delivering the Scheme Objectives as outlined in the Act; increases the recovery and recycling of empty Containers; reduces the number of empty Containers that are littered or disposed of to landfill; and provides opportunities for social enterprise, and benefits for community organisations.
Health and Safety Services. Introduction This section outlines the service specific requirements for the provision of Environment, Health and Safety Services for each Operator RVM. In addition to these service specific requirements, the Operator must comply with: all Container Collection Services, as outlined in section 2; and all Customer Services, as outlined in section 3. Key Objectives The main objectives for the Environment, Health and Safety Services are: ensuring all applicable approvals and permits to perform the Operational Services are maintained; compliance with the all Statutory Requirements and State Policies, including all relevant Legislation and Regulation; providing a clean, safe and healthy working environment for its employees; ensuring the safety of all public persons accessing the Operator RVMs and considers the community in which it operates; and ensuring its employees are trained and established practises are in place to respond to any emergency circumstances that may impact on Operator RVMs’ operations. Scope and Requirements Approvals and Permits The Operator must: maintain all applicable approvals required to perform the Operational Services; maintain all applicable permits required to perform the Operational Services; maintain all applicable licenses required to perform the Operational Services; and provide the Principal with evidence that all applicable approvals and permits are held within 5 Business Days of the request of the Principal. Workplace health and safety The Operator must comply with the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA) at all times and in all of its operations. The Operator will be required to develop policies that are compliant with the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA) and any other relevant Legislation and Regulations, and any reasonable requests from the Principal. These policies will need to be provided to the Principal at least annually, and must: ensure appropriate training and competency of staff; include the development and implementation of induction training plans for all staff; and ensure all staff are trained in personal protective equipment requirements and comply with personal protective equipment requirements at all times.
