Health Care Benefits Committee. A Health Care Benefits Committee shall be formed thirty (30) days after enactment by the County Council of this Agreement. The purposes of the Committee shall be to review existing health care benefits and provisions for employees and retirees; make recommendations to the Director of Office of Human Resources Management regarding health care benefit levels, cost containment measures and contribution ratios; and meet on a monthly basis or as necessary. Committee members shall include the Local Presidents from Local 241, 1170, 2462, 2735 and 3389, a Council Representative and the Labor Relations Specialist, and an equal number of County representatives. Committee members may send designees to Committee meetings in their place. Each party may appoint one or more outside consultants. The compensation of the consultants shall be the responsibility of the appointing party. Consultants shall be permitted to attend all Committee meetings and shall advise Committee members on subjects under Committee review. The Committee shall be co-chaired by the Chief Labor Negotiator and one of the aforementioned Union Representatives.

Health Care Benefits Committee. The Board agrees to continue a Health Care Benefits Committee for the purpose of investigating alternative health care providers and plans, investigating cost containment and wellness measures to help keep medical costs low, and to develop an “educated consumer” approach to health insurance. The Health Care Benefits Committee shall consist of three (3) bargaining unit employees appointed by the Union and three (3) management representatives appointed by the General Manager. The Health Care Benefits Committee shall meet no less than once during the second quarter of each agreement year to permit employee input into the health care plan. The Committee shall meet quarterly during the final year of the Agreement or at such time when an annual premium increase is projected to be 12% or greater. The purpose of these meetings will be to evaluate the healthcare plan design, choices and cost, and identify changes or movement to a different plan. The Health Care Benefits Committee may make non-binding recommendations to the Board and the Union, however, any change in plan design or plan providers shall be subject to approval of the Board and Union membership and mutual agreement of the parties.

  • Health Care Committee A Health Insurance Committee shall be established and maintained with at least three (3) representatives appointed by the Association and three (3) representatives appointed by the Superintendent. The purpose of the Committee shall be to make recommendations designed to optimize the quality of health care available to District employees and improve cost effectiveness of the health insurance program. Committee members shall review data, work with the District insurance consultant, collaborate on making recommendations for changes in plan design, review bids by insurance companies, and ultimately consider recommending plan changes to their respective constituencies. The Committee is not empowered to unilaterally make changes in health care benefits without ratification by the Association and approval by the Board. The creation of the Committee does not diminish or in any way reduce the Board’s and Association’s rights or responsibilities.

  • Benefits Committee As per LOA#10, a benefits committee comprised of the employee representatives and the employer representatives, including the Crown, shall convene upon request to address all matters that may arise in the operation of the OSSTF ELHT.

  • Health Care Benefits (a) Each regular full-time employee may elect coverage for himself and his eligible dependents* under one of the following health insurance plans:

  • Joint Benefits Committee In order to achieve benefit cost reductions, or at a minimum, cost containment, the parties agree to establish and aggressively participate in a Joint Benefits Committee. The parties agree that the Joint Benefits Committee shall explore all potential options or changes that could generate cost reductions to the Benefit Plans with the following order of priorities:

  • HEALTH CARE PLANS ‌ Notwithstanding the references to the Pacific Blue Cross Plans in this article, the parties agree that Employers, who are not currently providing benefits under the Pacific Blue Cross Plans may continue to provide the benefits through another carrier providing that the overall level of benefits is comparable to the level of benefits under the Pacific Blue Cross Plans.

  • Health Insurance Committee The UFF-USF-GAU President will appoint one (1) employee to serve on the University's Student Health Insurance Committee.

  • EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE 33.01 (a) An Employee-Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) shall be established within three (3) months of the signing of the Collective Agreement. The Union Representative shall provide the names of up to three (3) elected Employees and the Employer shall provide the names of up to three (3) appointed representatives to sit on the EMAC.

  • Benefits Advisory Committee The Board agrees to establish a Benefits Advisory Committee to provide stakeholder input into maintaining quality and affordable benefits. The focus of this committee shall be to:

  • Post Retirement Health Care Benefit Employees who separate from State service and who, at the time of separation are insurance eligible and entitled to immediately receive an annuity under a State retirement program, shall be entitled to a contribution of two hundred fifty dollars ($250) to the Minnesota State Retirement System’s (MSRS) Health Care Savings Plan. Employees who have a HCSP waiver on file shall receive a two hundred fifty dollars ($250) cash payment. If the employee separates due to death, the two hundred fifty dollars ($250) is paid in cash, not to the HCSP. An employee who becomes totally and permanently disabled on or after January 1, 2008, who receives a State disability benefit, and is eligible for a deferred annuity under a State retirement program is also eligible for the two hundred fifty dollar ($250) contribution to the MSRS Health Care Savings Plan. Employees are eligible for this benefit only once.
