EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 10.01 The Parties to this Collective Agreement agree to establish Employee-Management Advisory Committee(s) (EMAC) within the sites. Each Committee will consist of a maximum of six (6) persons with equal representation from the Parties.
10.02 In a site that has an established mechanism(s) that performs the functions of the EMAC as described in Clause 10.08 and where the mechanism(s) provides for the representation from this bargaining unit then the Employer and the Union Representative may mutually agree to waive Clause 10.01.
10.03 The representatives of the Employer on EMAC shall be those persons or alternates employed and designated by the Employer from time-to-time.
10.04 The representatives of the Union on EMAC shall be those Employees or Employee alternates designated by the Local from time-to-time.
10.05 The Parties mutually agree that the representatives of the Employer and the Union on EMAC should be the persons in authority whose membership should be as constant as reasonably possible with a minimum of alteration or substitution.
10.06 The Chair on EMAC shall be the senior representative of the Employer, and the Vice-Chair shall be the senior representative of the Union.
10.07 EMAC shall meet at a mutually acceptable hour and date. Either the Chair or the Vice-Chair may mutually call a special meeting to deal with urgent matters.
10.08 It is the function of EMAC to consider matters of mutual concern affecting the relationship of the Employer to its Employees and to advise and make recommendations to the Employer and the Union with a view to resolving difficulties and promoting harmonious relations between the Employer and its Employees. Zone matters of mutual concern may be referred to the Joint Task Force.
10.09 Either the Employer or the Union may have experts or advisors present at meetings of EMAC to make submissions to or to assist EMAC in the consideration of any specific problem. Each Party shall give the other reasonable advance notice of the anticipated presence of such experts or advisors.
10.10 Where an EMAC has not been established within a site, the Union may request a meeting with the designated Human Resources Department to discuss the formation of EMAC(s).
10.11 Within thirty (30) days of the request, the Parties will meet to discuss membership and subsequent development of Terms of Reference in accordance with Article 10: Employee Management Advisory Committee.

EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 33.01 (a) An Employee-Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) shall be established within three (3) months of the signing of the Collective Agreement. The Union Representative shall provide the names of up to three (3) elected Employees and the Employer shall provide the names of up to three (3) appointed representatives to sit on the EMAC.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 32.01 (a) The Employee-Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) shall be maintained. The Union shall provide the names of up to three (3) elected Employees representatives and the Employer shall be represented by the Site Manager or Resident Care Manager and up to two (2) additional representatives.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 41.01 The Parties to this Collective Agreement agree to establish an Employee- Management Advisory Committee(s) or the equivalent for promoting harmonious relationships and discussing topics of mutual concern between the employees and the Employer.
41.02 There shall be no loss of income for time spent by employees at meetings and in carrying out the functions of this Committee.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. The Parties to this Collective Agreement agree to establish an Employee- Management Advisory Committee(s) or the equivalent for promoting harmonious relationships and discussing topics of mutual concern between the Employees and the Employer.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 19.01 (a) An Employee Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) shall be established. The desired functions of the EMAC are to examine and make recommendations regarding the concerns of Employees relative to resident care and other matters related to employment, not covered within the Collective Agreement.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 38.01 The Parties hereby agree as follows:
(a) The Parties to this Collective Agreement agree to the desirability of an Employee-Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) or the equivalent for promoting harmonious relationships between the Employees, the Union and the Employer. A request by either Party to establish a Site committee shall not be unreasonably denied.
(b) It is recognized that the purpose of the EMAC is to promote joint problem solving and deal with matter of mutual concern which may arise from time to time.
(c) EMAC shall not have jurisdiction over any matter contained in the Collective Agreement including its administration or negotiation. EMAC will not supercede the activities of any committee of the Employer.
(d) The Union shall provide the names of up to four (4) representatives and the Employer shall provide the names of up to four (4) representatives to sit on the Employee-Management Advisory Committee.
(e) An Employee shall be paid their Basic Rate of Pay for the time in attendance at these committee meetings.
(f) An Employee shall, where applicable, be entitled to claim travel expenses in accordance with Article 24:
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 8.01 As the Employer and the Union are committed to joint consultation and constructive problem-solving where matters of mutual interest are concerned, an Employee/Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) shall be formed for this purpose within thirty (30) days of the ratification of this Collective Agreement and shall function for the term of this Collective Agreement. Both the Employer and the Union shall appoint up to three (3) representatives to the Committee.
8.02 The purpose of the EMAC is to xxxxxx communications between the Employer and its Employees, to discuss issues that may arise, and make recommendations for the Employer to consider. There is to be a majority consensus of the EMAC for recommendations to the Employer. The committee does not have the authority to make decisions which are binding on the Employer and cannot change the terms of the Collective Agreement.
8.03 The function of the EMAC is to examine and make recommendations regarding the concerns of management and/or Employees relative to matters related to employment not covered in this Collective Agreement. In no case will the EMAC deal with the interpretation of this Collective Agreement or matters, which have resulted in the filing of a grievance.
8.04 An Employee shall be paid at their basic rate of pay for attendance at EMAC meetings. Such time shall not be used in the calculation of overtime.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 21.01 There shall be an Employee-Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) for each worksite. The desired functions of the EMAC are to examine and make recommendations regarding the concerns of Employees relative to resident care including professional responsibility, staffing, workload, and other matters related to employment, not covered within the Collective Agreement.
21.02 The local representative of the Union shall provide the names of up to four (4) elected Employees and the Employer shall provide the names of up to four (4) appointed representatives to sit on the EMAC as committee members.
21.03 A chairperson shall be elected from amongst the committee members. The committee shall meet at least nine (9) times each calendar year, at a regularly appointed time and within ten (10) days of receiving a written description of the issue regarding resident care.
21.04 The committee shall develop the terms of reference for the committee. Agendas for each meeting will be circulated prior to each meeting. If there are no agenda items seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting, the chairperson may cancel the meeting. Minutes of each meeting will be kept and emailed to Employees.
21.05 There will be no loss of pay for committee members’ attendance at EMAC meetings.
EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 36.01 (a) The Employer and the Union agree that there shall be an Employee Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) consisting of a maximum of six (6) persons, with equal representation from the parties.
