HEIGHT PREMIUM. Any employee required to work from trusses, towers, swinging scaffolds, bos’n chairs, cranes and crane rigging (other than Class 9354), temporary staging or unguarded structures at a height of thirty (30) feet or more from the ground, water or supporting structure, shall receive $.75 per hour over the regular rate of pay for hours so worked. This premium pay shall also apply to employees working under piers and working out of boats or barges.

HEIGHT PREMIUM. Employees required to work on water towers and standpipes at a height exceeding 12.192 meters will be paid an additional $1.39 per hour for every hour or part thereof during which they are so employed.

Employees assigned in writing by the Department Head Appointing Officer or designee to perform a substantial portion of the duties and responsibilities of a higher classification shall receive compensation at a higher salary if all of the following conditions are met:

HEIGHT PREMIUM. 1) Tinsmith (coverings) and painter: Any employee assigned to work on hanging scaf- folds or in a suspended cage 10 or more metres above any surface shall receive an hourly pre- mium of $0.75 over and above the wage rate for his trade, specialty or occupation for every hour so worked. 2) Erector-mechanic (xxxxxxx): Any employee assigned to work on tubular scaffolding or in a suspended cage 10 or more metres above any surface shall receive an hourly premium of $0.75 over and above the wage rate for his trade for every hour so worked. In the case of hanging scaffolds, this hourly pre- mium shall be $1.00 for work performed 10 or more metres above any surface for every hour so worked.

HEIGHT PREMIUM. 16.1.1. A worker who is not employed as a tree climber, but who is required to climb trees on any day to heights of not less than 20 feet (6.069 metres) but not more than 40 feet (12.192 metres) shall be paid a premium of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per day. 16.1.2. A tree climber who climbs to heights of not less than 45 feet (13.716 metres) shall be paid a premium of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per day.
HEIGHT PREMIUM. A. Height premium pay will be compensated at the rate of 50% of the employees regular straight time hourly pay, paid at a minimum of one hour increments for the entire period of exposure, only when performed pursuant to prior approval of the Program Manager, or designated supervisor(s). B. Height premium shall include: 1. Work on any structure at least fifty (50) feet or more above the ground, deck, floor, or roof, or from the bottom of a tank or pit. 2. Work at a lesser height (50 feet or less) where the footing is unsure or the structure is unstable; or if scaffolding, enclosed ladders or other similar protective facilities are not adequate, i.e., working from a swinging stage, boatswain chair, and similar supports; or if adverse conditions such as darkness, rain, high wind, icing, lightning, or similar environmental factors render working in such conditions hazardous.
