Hiring Committees. Supervisors who are Union members will be on hiring committees for positions they supervise. The Institute will not be required to delay the hiring process or contact employees if employees are on leave.
Hiring Committees. All hiring committees which interview candidates for bargaining unit vacancies will include at least one (1) bargaining unit member.
Hiring Committees a. Building and program hiring committees, established pursuant to building and District decision matrices will receive training on appropriate hiring and interview techniques and procedures.
b. Building and program hiring committees will identify any specific knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for a candidate to be successful in the building or program.
c. If an in-district candidate is not selected for transfer into an open position, the District shall provide a written rationale to the employee, if requested. The chair of the hiring committee may solicit input from the committee, if warranted.

Hiring Committees. In the event that a hiring committee for a unit position includes at least one (1) bargaining unit employee, the hiring manager must, in consultation with the Guild, alert any employee who participates in the interview process that they are serving as the Guild representative. Work goals will be adjusted to reflect time a unit employee is devoting to serving on a hiring committee. The Guild and the Organization agree that while the Organization may determine whether and how a hiring committee will be used to address a given open position, the Organization generally benefits from the involvement of unit employees in hiring processes for unit positions. The Labor Management Committee may provide further input on hiring processes for unit employees and use of hiring committees.
Hiring Committees. Full time faculty who serve on hiring committees beyond their contract obligation receive hourly pay based on the non-instructional rate.

Hiring Committees. When hiring committees for unit positions are formed, the Organization shall, to the extent possible, endeavor to include at least one (1) bargaining unit employee. Additionally, to the extent possible, the Hiring Committee shall endeavor to consider gender and racial diversity and other relevant demographics for the composition of the Hiring Committee. The Organization will alert any employee who participates in the hiring process that they are serving as the Guild representative. Work plans will be adjusted to reflect time a unit employee is devoting to serving on a hiring committee, and no unit employee will be asked to serve on more than one (1) hiring committee at once or on more than three (3) hiring committees in one
(1) calendar year, unless there is a mutual agreement between the employee and HR. Employees have the right to deny a request to serve on a hiring committee without consequence.
